    LEAK: Behringer Bi-Phase

The new and highly anticipated Behringer Bi-Phase pedal has just been spotted in the real world. The pedal looks to be yet another very close recreation of the classic Mu-Tron effect pedal. The question is, how will Mu-Tron react this time?

Certainly annoying for Mu-Tron. but Behringer has more money to sue and the larger legal department.
A small company can not hold out a lawsuit at all, for lack of enough money. If Mu-Tron was Steinberg
or Native Instruments, it would be different and Behringer would not even try to copy products.

The legal departments of large companies always drag out the process and wait
until the other gives up for lack of money. This is common (unjust) practice.

Perfectly legit if the rights expired.
Double standards. Perfectly fine to release a shitload of plugin emulations of certain gear but when a hardware company does it people start crying.

If every guitar pedal company complained everytime somebody modded or released a clone/revision/new take on some of their pedals we would need therapy for our testicles.
I can't wait for the chip shortage to end and see Behringer clone the hell out of everything so we can move on past that phase into something different.

why would shame be involved? the patent system was designed to allow people to do exactly what he's doing. it's expected and encouraged

Im okay with Behringer cloning. 1) I get to play with more toys 2) I think it will light a fire under the rest of the industry.

Competition is always good for customer.

Absolutely agree. I have the Model D, K-2 and Pro-1. I'd never have these at the stupid prices the originals, and even re-releases go for. It just shows how big the mark-up is on this stuff. Why should poorer musicians be deprived of the sounds and experiences? Go on Uli, keep giving us what we want!
