Avid Officially Certified Plugins

    I wanna know what are the meanings of this list, Avid Officially Certified Plugins?

    How about the plugins not listed there? Not stable enough/ Bad sound/ Poor performance...etc.?

    I found that the list is always changing every a period of time, say 112db plugins are listed previously but not now...

    Just some straight forward marketing for the devs who are willing to pay the price to be on that list. Thats what I think at least.

    only plugins that are compatible to RTAS/AAX format.
    The APIs (code allowing to develop an protools plugins) aren't available for free afaik, so... there's a limited list of plugins supporting this.
