Finally got around to installing audiogridder - really great software, I love it.

My question is, when attempting to install certain software (eg - SWAM solo strings bundle) I get a failure with the message "out of memory". This sounds like a Crossover issue or something specific to the Audiogridder bottle. Anyone have any experience with this or can offer a solution?

    cheers

No. Pianoteq loads perfectly. Any additional instrument is met with "not enough memory".

    Obviously Im doing something incorrectly.

I have always just used Audiogridder with my 2 Macs with one running Logic. So you see why I don't understand the role Crossover would play in any of it. What it sounds like is you are running something virtually, and you are filling up your RAM because something loaded previously has not been cleared. Like swap space. Are you trying to run some windows plugin? (or Crossgridder instead)

    and these are intel Macs?

Im attempting to run Crossgridder as a supplement to VEP (which is slaved to 2nd Mac). My understanding is that Crossgridder is able to run internally on a Mac (in my case a fully loaded iMac pro) which, by the way, it does. Im just wondering why Im running into memory issues when attempting to install windows based VST's.

Ive managed to get Pianoteq to run perfectly.

So why am I hitting a wall with "not enough memory" when I try to install other vst's?

Hello @Eleven, can you take a screenshot of the error message. Please provide the exact error message and the exact name of your operating system. (out of memory or not enough memory)

1.) [Fixed] Your System Has Run Out of Application Memory on Mac

our Mac’s response was lightning fast. Apps would launch in the blink of an eye, but then, one day, it took you ages to open an app! “What’s changed?” Well, that’s your Mac running out of application memory.

I have the same problem. Something weird about some of the Swam installers. They don't like Crossover. It starts to install and then give you an "out of memory" error and asks if you want to skip each file as it tries to install. I have no idea what's causing this. Nothing is actually out of memory, it's a weird bug.
