I'd say get neither - a mesh-backed chair on your back is way nicer to sit on. Leather chairs make you sweat like hell in summer plus they're freezing cold to initially sit on in winter.

I mentioned it on page one, but since this thread got dug up again, I'll just note that I'm now on year 10 of this thing: https://www.staples.ca/products/990119-en-flexfit-hyken-mesh-task-chair-with-adjustable-arms-black

I don't know of anything else that's lasted me 10 years. Still no signs of wear at all (other than a bit on one of the side of the arm rests, but it in no way impacts seating). I've had no need to replace it. This is hands down the best chair I've ever had. My back and ass are both pretty picky, so it is very surprising for a chair to last me this long.

I find the most important feature for a healthy and comfortable chair to use mesh instead of plastic and especially wood. Mesh bends, so it feels more comfortable and doesn't stop the blood flow as badly as a wooden or plastic chair. You can find rather nice and comfy meshed ones for cheap. It also helps to rest your feet on some kind of a feet-rest. I use my NAS for that. :) It also helps if your table has a metal rod at the right place.

    did you try it?
because I've tested plenty of various chairs in various showrooms recently, and that exact chair model is actually really good, it's sturdy build, not soft to sit in - of course it's not the absolute best chair, but in <1000$ price range it holds well

    Office chair for tall people

Office chair for tall peopleIf you are between 1.85 - 2.10 m tall, you need an office chair that takes your physical needs into account so that you sit ergonomically. Tall people need an extra-high backrest that optimally reaches up to their shoulders. It relieves the strain on your back by adapting to your spine. An integrated headrest, against which your head can rest, is practical. This relieves the neck and shoulder area and prevents tension.

SONGMICS Office chair, ergonomic swivel chair, with folding armrests, nylon star base, load capacity 150 kg, black OBG65BK
