Wondering if any of you have suggestions! I've been looking for vocals for tracks...but everything free is cheesy as fuck. The vocals dont have to be great sounding, as long as I can program what they say.

Was wondering if any of you have had experience with, kind of the TEXT TO VOICE type of voice generators? (Or any other types that I may be unaware of) Which ones sound the best, most natural...

Or if you know of any good websites where you can get NON-CHEESY lyrics for a small cost..

Looking for english female voice (singing only) sounds.

    Thanks!

If you have a Huawei Mobile you can use the pre-installed App called "Translator". Its totally natural sounding, I use it too (Male & Female).
There is some freeware for Windows called Balabolka but you cant compare it to the Huawei App.

Maybe there are some alternatives for Android/iOS? Sounds like a very good idea.

Haha i remember IL got these synthesized text to speech? they sound very robotic, but why not?

Yes indeed, this App is very good. And you can translate it too any language you want. I was super surprised in a positive way when I first used it. Unfortuantely I dont know if there are alternatives for iOS...

Yamaha - Vocaloid (Singing Synth) v5.6.3 VSTi

Vocaloid uses Frequency-Domain Singing Articulation Splicing and Shaping, a vocal (singing voice) synthesizing system developed by Yamaha.
With this system, the "Singing articulations" (Collections of voice snippets, such as phrases, and snippets of vocal expression variations like vibrato) needed to reproduce vocals are collected from custom produced recordings of accomplished singers and put into a database after conversion into frequency domains.

    1.) Text to Speech v1.3 VST : VST Speek ! - Windows 32 & 64

VST Speek is a free vocal synthesis VST plugin for recreating the old skool robotic text to speech we all love.
Choose a preset, type any text and let’s speak ! https://blog.wavosaur.com/text-to-speech-vst-vst-speek/

    2.) Plogue - chipspeech VST

chipspeech is a vintage-styled speech synthesizer which recreates the sound of famous 80's voice synthesis chips.

    3.) AnalogX - Syit v2.04 8Standalone)

Are you ready to dazzle and amaze your friends by generating custom computer synthesized speech? Yes, I know it sounds almost like a dream too wonderful to be true, but your computer just needs a nudge in the right direction... With AnalogX SayIt!

Inspired by that evil device many of us were tormented by as children, the Speak&Spell, AnalogX SayIt gives your computer a synthesized voice to rival that of Colossus (from the movie Colossus: The Forbin Project). Type in any word or phrase, set the sliders to the appropriate settings, and click the 'Render' button - out pops a nice little wave file. Or, if you are just playing around, use the 'Preview' button and hear what it sounds like. It's that simple.

AnalogX SayIt outputs 16-bit wave files, and can handle phrases up to 500 characters, more than enough for your average computer speech needs.

Okay, So I found EMVOICE about 30 minutes ago @Benno de Bruin, lol. Its 12MB and the womans voice is better than any other VST or Standalone voice ive heard so far, and its easy as balls to use. I downloaded the demo and within 10 minutes had some vocals in a track to test (demo only gives you a 5 note range on the keyboard roll) but..a little bit of EQ, some distortion, delay and verb.. holy shit, im impressed. Why have I not heard of this before? Only 59 bucks.. I may need to just buy this, but I am gonna look at some of the other suggestions here first though.

But.. yall should try the demo.. its super small. lol its blowing my mind.

    WOW. :woot:

I'm listening to their demo tracks and that software sounds even better than most real singers out there. :bleh:

But seriously, looks really interesting. Amazing recommendation bro.

Emvoiceapp does need an internet connection for the following stated reason:
"Our audio engine uses gigabytes of individual files and highly complex processing to combine them into finished vocal lines. With such high processing demands, we placed the engine on servers around the world for a seamless user experience, no matter how fast or slow your computer is."
So it seems perhaps not a good target for "unofficial" version.

hey, maybe vengaboy's "the computer song" was made with Text to Speech?

edit: hmmm making some comparison on how it sounds, looks more likely that was made on Plogue - chipspeech VST but the song is too old for that program.

I use a lot vocal emulators to create demos for singers, the vocal synthesis is then replaced in the recording session with the human performance. I find this to be a useful procedure to speed up the workflow. Sometimes it happens that, at the end of the recording, the synthetic voice in the demo track is much better than the human one, especially when dealing with inexperienced singers ...
I also use emulations as background vocals

    My favorite singing voices are:
    • Vocaloid: dozens of different voices and styles, english, spanish and japanese
    • Emvoice: the most realistic
    • Chipspeech: very good when looking for that “robotic” vibe
    • Wavosaur AUspeek3: the good old Amiga computer voice, a must when playing 90's techno

@jordan77 The voice from Vengaboys comes from an app called "Microsoft Talk it!" (year 1996), voice preset "Martian"

Please note: Emvoice One is a cloud-based plugin and requires an internet connection to install and to run.

Yeah, the daw has to be online in order to use the large voice database and all the magic is done through their servers: that's why the plug-in installation on our computer is so light weight
