That's the point man, don't you know they're all tortured souls trying to express themselves through their art?

 

To me it looks more like a reflection of a sick society. Most of what is published is self-promotion and not art.
I know this from the old days - the cool guys wore sunglasses, tattoos were only for those who were in jail or went to sea.

There were also artists who put makeup on their faces. A few pictures for inspiration and creativity.

 

These guys look like they're just about to be executed by a firing squad. Even the wall looks right.

It's so hard to tell they're brothers. The difference is the one on the right is dying his hair and sun tanned, but he might even be the older brother judging by the wrinkles around the eyes especially ;). Interesting how grey hair [meaning beard, too] can make you look much older.
