Thanks, guys. I have installed the factory and R2R file in program data, but it's not working for me. Various expansions I have worked fine though. I'll try redownloading the factory library and copy it over as the only conclusion I can come to is the file must be corrupt or didn't download properly.

 

Try with a small one first, to check if this is the problem.
Also, I suppose that you previously installed Falcon from R2R, right?

So if i understand all this correctly one needs the R2R UVIEMU and R2R UVI Falcon to get the R2R Falcon add-ons working.
I have a legit Falcon (Win) and would like to try out some of the R2R falcon addons before i decide if/what addons to buy.
But i have to dl and install the R2R UVIEMU and R2R version of Falcon for that to work then or can i make it work somehow with my legit Falcon and just the R2R addons (and the included .R2RUVI files)?
Saw one person asked this but he was on a mac and i am on windows.
My guess is no, so i have to find the R2R Falcon version somewhere and install that in a different location then.

I seem to remember reading in the beginning of the thread that a legit Falcon and the R2R Falcon can be installed on a computer at the same time if different install locations are used.
Maybe i remembered wrong, i have to check as i dont want to ruin my legit Falcon.
One get a fixed number of installations with the legit falcon if i dont remember wrong about this too, it was something similar i remember from the installation.
I wish UVI had made demo versions of the addons with a timelimit so one can test the products before buying them.

 

Yeah that's correct, you can install both at the same time, they don't interfere so long as they are installed in separate locations.

I really like Falcon. I own a legit license for it, but I'd never really used it much. I generally use virtual instruments like Pianos, Rhodes, Wurlies, DX-7, Saxophones, Horns, and other physical instrument sounds; I rarely use synth sounds. That said, I've always tended to just use the free UVI Workstation for loading sample libraries instead of using Falcon. The truth is, Falcon is an extremely capable ROMpler.

I strongly dislike iLOk. Every legit iLok license I own, I try to replace with dependable "fixed" versions instead - it makes for lesser lag times, lower system resource consumption, and usually, fewer headaches. I like being able to try out some of the UVI formatted libraries as extended DEMOS before actually having to fork out the moola to buy them. I've done that in the past for a couple of libraries that ended up really disappointing me.

I would love to see R2R release a "fixed" version of UVI Workstation too though.
It is more streamlined and faster to load up than Falcon is. Nevertheless, thank God for R2R!

So how would you go about using the "dump" method to create a file for the Flacon Factory 3.0 sound banks?

 

Falcon is not an Rompler like Nexus you can play Sample Libaries with it yes but it's an full Powered Synth.

 

Most of library or expansions works fine very happy

But I noticed some don't like Soul Bass for instance... I click on it and it instantly crashes
Same for Hybrid-6000, Kawai Vintage Legacy, Guitar Syn, Quadra

Not sure why they make falcon crash, perhaprs the .ufs are corrupted ? if so where can I re-download them ?


and I wished I could find a dowload pool where all*.uvir2r files can be found for all current and updated libs and even the old ones

Or is there a way to generate them with Falcon like the method discussed over here ?
