    Yes, exactly.
I read that the industrialized white sugar is the gateway drug. It all starts with the white poison.

Is there a real sugar addiction at all?
The researchers at Princeton University in New Jersey / USA found the same changes in the brain with massive sugar consumption
as with the consumption of hard drugs such as heroin or cocaine, and that after 4 weeks of increased sugar consumption.

    Sugar simulates happiness
Drugs increase dopamine and serotonin levels - they make you happy and relaxed. Sugar also increases dopamine and serotonin levels, making you happy and relaxed for a short time before you have to replenish yourself soon. Sugar is therefore an addicting substance.

What else does it do in the body?
Getting rid of sugar is not only worthwhile in the case of obesity or for weight loss, because cancer cells also feed on sugar. Certain types of sugar seem to accelerate the growth of cancer cells even more than others. Studies indicate that the simple sugar fructose allows cancer cells to grow particularly quickly.

The first time I ever had a French Press was in Switzerland in the 90's. As an American, I didn't really know what 'good' coffee was. at that time all we had was Starfucks that tasted like cigarette ashes mixed with hot water, and instant jailhouse coffee. The air was so much more clean in Switzerland as well.

Hey! I understand what you are talking about. When I was at university, I could drink four cups of coffee a day. When I finished my studies, I realized that I needed to reduce the use. At first I switched to black kai, but it did not replace the smell of coffee for me. Later, I was advised to cleanse the body with a detox. You can drink 2 cups of coffee without hesitation. The dose makes the poison.
Those who get too nervous should switch to decaffeinated coffee.

I live in one of the darkest countries there is during winter. Sometimes no sun. So naturally I'm pretty addicted to my coffee and energy drinks. Dependent but I feel like given the lack of sun, not much choice. I drink 5-6 coffees a day, or If i have an energy drink maybe just 2 coffees with it. Those things kick. But I always choose sugar free.

Now there are Starbucks everywhere selling cigarette ashes mixed with hot water for insane amounts of money, now even in supermarkets. Starbucks sucks, as expensive as fuck and tastes like muck.

No it's not smartly priced, at least not that I have noticed.

If I recall even in India it was around 300 to 500 rupees for a drink which is around $4 to $5.25 about the same as in the UAE and actually a bit less than in Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. It's considered a luxury good in a lot of countries, so there is no pressure to lower prices.

It's expensive but when you are somewhere in a large city like Paris or Frankfurt where the corner coffee/bar sells a demitasse for around 3€ and up it's not a big jump. It just isn't what I would call a great coffee flavor.

If I remember correctly coffee is expensive in general in Switzerland. We drove down from Frankfurt to Geneva and while in the gas stations and services you could get a cup of coffee for about 2 CHF once you got into Geneva at a bar it was about 5.50 and Swiss Franks and US dollars are generally close enough that I am not going to bother looking it up or doing the math, the CHF is a bit above the dollar now but I am not sure. Not planning on going anywhere anytime soon, so I have no incentive to keep up anymore.

    Uppers are for losers.
Whether coke, meth, caffeine, if you need something to feel empowered, enabled and invincible, then you're nobody.
