i prefer the sie-q personally, like what it's doing to the low end quite a bit more. i really like the siemens eq plugin from arturia also, use it on bus groups here and there. shootout between that and the sie-q would be cool

 

Being separated by roughly two decades, the original units would be audibly different enough to own both units. There was an earlier W295 that would also be different as compared to the W295b.

The Soundtoys Sie-Q is good as a sound shaping utility. Never liked it as an Equalizer though.

The Audified RZ602 is good for track, bus & master equalization. There is also the benefit of MId/Side EQ.
I find the Saturation on the RZ602 to be more musical, smoother. Just dropping it into an effects slot instantly adds
character & weight to the sound.

I would not compare them and completely agree with quadcore64, the RZ602 is more like a mastering device (BUS, band, etc), whereas the sie-q is a great tool for processing single sounds or instruments.

 

which one sounds more comfortable or more musical to you? I don't know the soundtoys ... I use Audified ...

Never used any of those, but from what i hear in the video RZ062 is way more transparent, so on a quick listen i'll go with sie-Q. (talking about general use)

I've been using the Audified for a while and can confirm that it sounds open, wild and flashy... Soundtoys has such an SSL character..a bit shy, inconspicuous, elegant..but both are interesting

1.On which track do you use it?
2.How would you describe the sound character?

well, i had a hard time hearing anything remotely close to a siemens eq when i watched the video, the hardware is totally music, way better than a 1066/77 or a 550 imho. so i would always pick the siemens, as i run stems thru the siemens wsw desk often.

cant comment on the Klangfilms, as all the units i got my hands on required so much service to get them running, that i never got to using them.
