I'll put forward 2 hypotheses:

- It is less time-consuming to programme and you save a lot of money in labour costs.
- Many younger people are no longer able to operate complicated software (SmartPhone Apps dumbing down).

Or maybe the design and work flow is more appealing. When was the last time you spent 4 hours dialing a plugin?

 

It is for "microwave meal" people.

 

as long as there are 2 , where there should be 2 buttons, the 1 button plug ins don't bother me ....
