My favs are Replika XT & Echoboy Jr. No one has mentioned them hm

 

1. Logics Delay Designer (my first Multi-Tab , every non Multi-tab felt so uncontrollable if you used to this ).

2. Tracktions Delay Studio (It's the Windows Version of Delay Designer in my eyes, the key features are similar )(I got mine for $10 ) Heavily underrated .

3. And Blue Cat's Late Replies (I love and hate this one at the same time It's so deep(good) and it's so deep(bad) you can do crazy stuff with it, but it takes so much time even for simple things, on every tab you can load more effects. It took me 1-2 h just to understand the concept of it normally I know how a Delay works ... this one is different ).

 

Except EchoBoy
That's actually the list of all the delay plugins in my VST folder.
In a parallel universe, I paid for them all.

 

In yet another one, you only use EchoBoy.

 

I had my EchoBoy phase. It's an excellent plugin, no doubt. But I deleted all my Soundtoys stuff because... fuck, I can't even remember. Something to do with aliasing I guess?

 

It certainly is a creative delay, actually the rest of UVI fx plugins caught my attention before their instruments and libraries did. Going in I was rolling my eyes thinking "not another fx suite like the rest of them" but they were truly set up with a different approach than others. Some companies have followed the way UVI sets up their GUI since then.

Another creative delay I should use more often.

Tape Delay from Logic X

 

What would you guys say is a good versatile delay plugin with like modulation capabilities like pitch shifting, frequency shifting, and stuff like that to create many different effects of a delay plugin with a lot of freedom to your delay? You know to create like swooshes and wipes and other cool effects

I'm pretty sure echoboy and H-delay probably has it, as well as echobode, but anything else?

Just asking for a good shape shifting delay plugin ig.

Many pros use Soundtoys stuff. I bet they can't hear aliasing.

Sooo I mentioned Other Desert Cities as a candidate for my favourite delay some time ago.
I'm happy to report that it made the cut

 

Replika XT is overly underrated, i feel like i can easily control delay taps when using this plugin.

 

My favorite/most used is echoboy
For sound design and crazy stuff I use cristallizer and primal tap.
I also often use Ableton Live's stock delay.

 

Yeah in all honesty I just wanted to clean my plugins folder and the aliasing thing was just a lame excuse to get rid of it. Soundtoys always sounded excellent to my ears, I just use other plugins to do the same job now.

 

what are you using now? I'm currently in my Soundtoys phase (and it's been lasting a while now, haha).

 

Valhalla is my go-to delay 90% of the time. The other 10% is a match between u-he Colour Copy, FabFilter Timeless 3 and whatever delay pedal emulation is available in the amp sim I'm using.
