Its actually christmas in a few days.

Basically I hate the whole idear of christmas (not that I hate etc Jesus whatever) but because it has becomed so f***ing commercial!

Only reason I celebrate christmas is: I have kids!

And: You have good deals with audio dealers, developers etc.

For me the first sign of Christmas are the legendary Coca Cola commercials which didn't change for ten years on TV followed by a marathon of Home Alone (minus the 4th part which was crap). I swear Christmas wouldnt be the same without them

You should spice things up this Christmas, instead of the 4th home alone go with Party Monster with Makauly.

 

Yeah, Christmas... I only like it because of somehow more friendly atmosphere between [usually Christian] people. I was raised a Christian, so even being an atheist now I can feel that same calmness and friendliness at Christmas. Yes, there are also some good deals on music tools that you can take advantage of, too.

Speaking of wine, SirSillySausage, it is also a great opportunity to take advantage of consuming more of it. "Hell, it's Christmas, right?" This will sound so corny or even pretentious but I am a fan of French wines, mostly for practical reasons - because there's much better chance of finding a nice, better tasting one. However, it is trickier to find a good exported French wine. In France you can pretty much pick anything from the store and enjoy a good wine, but the exported ones can be bad. French like to export the bad wine and keep the good wine for themselves. I'm mostly into merlot wines, heavier tasting red wine, good to have after a nice dinner. "Sticks to the brain" after you've had a bottle of it. I also like "Bordeaux" red wine, for when I want a bit lighter tasting red wine. I'm not really a white wine lover because they usually taste more sour, so they're better to be had with some mineral water "gemischt" as the Germans say. White wine or even better "rose" wine is better for before dinner as an appetizer because it's lighter. Girls usually like the white or rose wine better, too, I noticed.

For me Christmas means having to spend money for useless gifts for family and friends just for the sake of it - but I'm also always looking forward what the skilled guys from the scene bring to us. :dancing:
