The GUI is hard to resist. Just like Acustica plugins. I love Acustica in bypass just because of the GUI.

 

I have the fastest mac laptop ever built... why do I need an extra .04555 loading time? Its by far the easiest activation method when switching to a new computer, but hey, I guess you would prefer to go thru 30 plugin sites and go thru old emails to find activation codes and manually enter shit in... my time is more valuable than that

That's just bullocks, just need to check system manager to see there's nothing big going on with iLok, absolutely nothing. Unless one have a pc from 1995, I wouldn't worry. It's ok to not like iLok for a number of reasons but that is just bs.

 

The Soundclouddemos are not realy impressive! Ilok is a NoGo!

The iLok sucks up on resource.

Edit: if you people disagree, show me where and how much resource iLok is sucking on your machine. I'm not defending iLok, but repeating what other people say on forums as a parrot doesn't really prove anything.

Ohhh ok, I agree as well, I have never experienced any slowdown or resource usage relating to ilok. Hell how much resources can a dongle holding serial info use? not much at all. I dont understand why people hate ilok so much, its so convenient when switching computers.

You need one that was never activated. iLok shows a $25 transfer fee for this plugin and it's not even worth half that. If it was free i'd transfer you mine, because I probably used it like once. Waste of time, unless you have literally no other tape plugins.
