I did get blocked, white-listed it and now its all good!

 

As far as I understand, you can whitelist AZ in kapersky.

 

As someone pointed it out here, most of us may be logged in on the sister site, so they may see no ads or redirects.
I am one of those not logged in, and for a time now I get those redirects, or new tabs in FF opening every few clicks. But I thought this is normal and you are aware of that.
I use Ghostery and uBlock origin and an AV (Avast), so (hopefully) nothing bad happened to me (I can think of).
It is not easy to point to a culprit since the redirects are happening very fast. Some of them are recognized by uBlock and shut down.
Well, recently I was annoyed enough to try to manually block this behavior in uBlock ;-)
The page from where all the redirecting starts seems to be rauwoafe.com.
Since I filtered it, a new tab is opened like before, but immediately closed in the process.
With that I can live.
Edit: two other domains in the html source of the sister site may be olhkghhjxtomlq.xyz, soaheeme.net and denetsuk.com, but they are already handled by uBlock natively.
Another Edit: Today (22.01.) there are redirects again and I had to block phoawhap.net.

Side note: at least one member reported problem logging in while using uBlock origin.

 

I use uMatrix(*) and uBlock Origin in combination with fairly restrictive settings and have never had a problem logging into the sister site.


(*)I know, the ad-on has been discontinued. But I'll keep using it until I find an alternative.

 

please check my response (posted above same page /18 posts above )on how to let you AV allow sister site,
follow instruction and you will be fine
(and no need to change your AV or remove it as solution to enter sister site )

This is the result of bad website practices by the AZ. Integrating malware/spyware website redirects on your website will definitely result in penalty by security softwares.
They say just use a adblocker or even sign in to get rid of those malicious redirects, we listened. But antivirus bots does not care about signing in. If this continues, more antivirus programs will flag the sister site. Worst will be when google or microsoft decides to flag that domain as malicious.

 

first of all no need to post ads to prove a point ,second if you are a member you wont get any ads ,

 

It's good to post the exact links to the offending adds, because we do not have a contract with each advertiser.
The adverts come from an intermediary and we need the links to tell them not to put these adds again.

Same problem with Kaspersky here.. It seems that Kaspersky will be working on a patch update between the end of January to mid Febuary. They recommend adding sites to the exclusion list as a temporary workaround.

 

Good morning, I would like to report that both yesterday and today the sister site is working properly. Currently I use the latest version of kaspersky antivirus with the site in whitelist and as browser I use edge chromium. Up to three days ago, with the same conditions, the sister site was not working, I could only visit it using vivaldi browser.

 

I never did whitelist the sister site within Kaspersky, instead I used Opera (with VPN enabled), which has worked fine.

Throughout the last few weeks, every now and then I would try accessing the sister site using my regular Chrome browser and it wouldn't work. I tried again today and it worked fine. Not sure what has changed but you should now be able to access the sister site without having to make any modifications/exceptions within Kaspersky.
