    Hi!
After many years of producing trance, I have switched to the psytrance genre and love it.
As the subject tells, what kind of reference tracks for mixing do people recommend?

Actually you should take a track that you like and where the sound quality is high.

Juno Reactor - Navras (BLiSS Remix)

The main thing - do not confuse shit-like modern fullon and real psytrance.

this is NOT PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE. This is pop fullon.

As @Moonlight said, Avalon and Astrix are 2 good current references of the psychedelic Trance scene.
I also recommend Ace Ventura productions.
    Very clean and powerfull mix.
Perfect in your headphones, and better with a 40 Kw sound system

Exactly. Take a listen to psy from the 90s and from today. Two completely different things. If you are into 90s stuff, and especially goa, let me know, I'll give you some pointers.

Anybody remembers that website that used to put out very nice albums/EPs from "lesser known" authors? It was psytrance/ambient/goa stuff. They had everything for free if I remember correctly. There was even something from Ethnoscope

I would recommend the OP to select a song that is similar to the track he's working on. It will not help much to use a Avalon song as reference if he's producing a Berg or Blastoyz style track. But anyway, this thread become a nice place to keep discovering songs and projects. :)
