Is there like a converter tool for windows or something? Google didn't help much and most of the stuff was for mac or pay to use

You can use a tool like RX9 to "unmix" the track, and use those part to work on a new Dolby Atmos mix, but it's not a quick easy way, and require to have the studio with the right monitoring system (Dolby Atmos setup need at least 9 speakers, and therefore a soundcard that can manage that, aswel as the right routing in your DAW).

So no easy way to do that (yet?), it's not like a mono to stereo conversion that can be easily done, but can already create some issue, here you have to convert 2 channels into a 9 channels (or more - up to 128) file, so that's even more possibility to create a problem.

But if you want an easy way to create some sence of space in a track, you can use something like dearVR Pro to create some sort of "8d" effect that you can find on youtube. It's not Dolby Atmos, but it's easy to do and can give you some nice effect on a headphone (even more if you use it on stem file instead of a stereo track)

Thanks for your suggestion. I didn't know much about it. But your reply looks very helpful.

OP is looking for Halo Upmix by Nugen Audio.
Also phase cancellation is not an issue in 7.1, just as mono compatibility is not a concern. The real world sounds are not mono compatible, you know.
