I am having problems with Ample Sound Guitar (SC) Stratocaster. After installing the library and the VST I am unable to change the pickup selector to bridge, all others work except bridge.

Obviously it is a problem with the sample library, I have removed and reinstalled it but still the same thing. I even went back and installed the sample library that came with version 3.3 (which should be the same) but no luck.
I also reinstalled the VST with no joy.

Is anyone else having this issue or can anyone who has it working please tell me how many files should be in the sample library?

Any help is much appreciated.

 

I've had no problems with mine. Do you have the latest release?

check if the samples you are "missing" are installed in the correct location. Meaning not installed either one directory level up or down from the ones which work. I have seen updates and expansions do that more than I would expect, and takes 2 minutes to look. You could also tamper with the directory structure by moving a folder possibly to see where it is looking/saving, etc.

 

Yes latest release 3.5.
If you go to your sample library, "AGSC_library" folder can you tell me how many files you have?

Thanks but all my other Ample instruments work well so the install is good just for some reason the one part of the library.

Yes I have already done this and when I run the library installer I specify the location I want, when I check to see if it is there it is but in the VST the bridge ones don't have any sound, everything else is good.

Seems weird indeed. I was going to try it so luckily in a day or two I can post the list of files of the samples folder. Some file must be missing. But The Strat must be the only one I don't have
I remember there's at least two kind of files (in Ample Sound's samples folder), you seem to have the samples (ascf was?) but I smell the other type might be the one missing.

How much weights your samples folder by the way?

Ok, I think I found it. That 3.3 didn't include the Bridge pickup. Is it the one you're missing?
You need to install both samples and installer of the latest v3.5

From rutracker:

- Unfortunately, this is the case for everyone. The update to 3.3.0 with the addition of the Bridge Library were released. But for some reason, the person who shared did not include the Bridge Library in his release

 

As far as I am aware the bridge pickup is new in 3.5. I had 3.3 and there was neck, neck & middle middle, middle & bridge. Pissing irritating, but 3.5 has the bridge pickup

 

Yep, that's right. It probably was some misunderstading with that release.
I remember that in the first versions of Ample Sound they released more pickups separately as expansions. It might have something to do with that.

 

For anyone with a similar problem, I will let you know what happened.-
originally I had v3.3 sample library (no bridge) but I did upgrade to v3.5 (with bridge) bridge should have been there but was not.
After many attempts of installing and removing both the VST exe and the Library pkg. I started to notice that the library installer's progress bar was moving along until just a tad before the end and the notice came up saying finished with a tick, so I thought maybe it finished early. Did it again and same thing happened.
It turns out the library pkg file was corrupt and the installer did not warn me of this it just said finished and showed a big tick. So it looked like everything installed well but it was a failure and I was left with the library from previous v3.3.

Just joking, glad you fixed the problem

 

Hopefully Ample sound will fix the installer to let the user know if the file is corrupt or incomplete.
