I too have had trouble reinstalling Omnisphere on my new PC.

I have the following extracted folders on a portable hard drive:

STEAM
STEP 5 - Omnisphere Software Update v2.6.0.e
STEP 6 - the 2048
STEP 7 - Omnisphere soundsource library update v2.6.0.e
STEP 8 - Omnisphere patch library update v2.6.0.e
STEP 9 - Boob Moog Tribute patch library update v1.4.e

I don't see an omnisphere.exe file, nor more setup files. Not sure what the next steps are for a new install.

 

In the text box on the top right of this page, type 'Omnisphere Installation' and the check the box below (search titles only) All the help you need is there.

I would help but it's been so long since I installed it I really cant remember.

 

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. The Pirate spent a lot of time helping me with the original install. I'm forever grateful for that.

 

you should be able to bypass a number of the older steps when you are going to the 2.8 updates. and you have expansions to consider. something this big, with a picky install order like Omnisphere, yeah good luck.

 

Success! I was able to get Omnisphere up and running. I found the dll and exe files on an old drive, put everything in the proper folders and changed folder ownership to "Everyone".
