Balanced Mix? intro?...

    HI when they say to have a balanced mix

    does this apply mainly for the "Main track" i.e, the chorus?

    or does it apply for intro of the track too for example?

    The mix is always enhancing the artistic idea. If you're mixing your own music, enhance the core elements. If you're mixing others, make sure you have an excellent taste in music and understand what the client wants and ehnace that. The only "hard rules" are don't blow speakers and don't blow ears.

    Of course this goes only for the main part(s) of a song. You'll find gazillion of mixes where especially intro and break parts are completely out of balance due to extreme usage of low or high cuts (band pass, filter sweeps, resonances, ...).
