    First, there is no VST version of it
    second, it's abandonware since 2016
    third, there are better and cheaper options
    (
    Bespoke (free)
    Hollyhock Modular (maybe one of the deepest modular systems there is ) (also an abandon vst version exists )

    )

    Yes, but it has not been updated since its release on Sep 20, 2011. The Linplug company no longer exists.
    And unfortunately the manufacturers bury their plugins in the cemetery at the same time.

    the r2r Mac version still works in Patchwork. :)

    There´s a powerhorse forgotten by everyone and it´s called Kore 2 from Native Instruments. Now discontinued but easy to find in the web, it´s FX extensions Deep Freq, Deep Reconstructions and Deep Transformations are really from another world. Another one that´s great is Output Portal.

    Sugar Bytes Effectrix? Haven't tested it but I think many people liked it.

    Sugar Bytes plugins are the first tools that come to my mind, but Serum FX can be quite powerful for that matter as well if you don't intend to rely on presets.

    Not quite what you're looking for perhaps, but since other people mentioned sequencers/arps, I think this falls in that same category. Plus it does it's job well... anyways, Audio Modern Riffer. Audio Modern makes some other good plugins directly in line with what you'd want too, probably, like Filterstep (I've never used it though).

    I really like Riffer though. Set a scale.. set a few notes in there that you want to keep in place, and then randomize, and you can create some really cool, unique arps.

    Other than that, lots of envelopes / filters :) I am partly kidding. I am looking for some easy-mode way of doing things too, so I appreciate this thread!

    Spent many many hours playing around in Audiomulch in the early 2000’s. Shame theirs no more support for it and it’s basically abandonware now as far as I know.

    Seems like everyone’s just recommending sound design FX. I didn’t see any that really emphasize the “random” aspect to what OP was looking for. If you’re on Ableton, you have access to Max for Live. And if you have access to Max for Live, theirs a set of tools by Ned Rush called “Lucky16”, and these are a set of FX that have a sequencer on them that trigger by chance. You can really stack them and let them all trigger randomly at different times and get super interesting results!

    Dude, when I recommend anything, I normally know what I say, and I read what the OP wants .
