You must have golden ears! I know the Deef like the back of my hand, and heard nothing that obviously sounds like it.
The brass stab/fall is a sampler.
Maybe the bass, I guess?
I'm probably OT for even commenting on a track here, sorry!

I still have my D-50 which I bought brand new in the 80s, I know the D-50 sound pretty well and I can rightly say that the melody sound is definitely a Roland D-50. the sound is very characteristic.

The brass stab/fall is a sampler. ( also the brass stab ist very typical for D-50 )

Took me 2 years of waiting since release for that!
Yes, I heard the melody and I disagree.
It is not "definite" imo.

Emu ?? NEVER ; NEVER ... i know many of emu stuff very well .... they sounds very warm and organic .... Fairlight , i never had one (cant say anything about it )

Now you're confusing me, especially if your ears are this good!
The most obvious, blatant, clear thing about the brass sample is the fact it is a stab which turns into a fall.
How can you not "confirm" that?
Yet you are sure it's not a sample?
Never heard anything on a D-50 like that myself.
In other countries such as this, they have always used old synths, it's true.
But often things like those Technics all-in-one home keyboards.
Of which DO have brass stab/fall like that.
Almost the naffer the sound, the better it is for top lines in these styles.
