For me it's Glow On by Turnstile, and it's not even a genre that I usually listen to.

Honorable mention to Red (Taylor's version) for the great rerecording and excellent production.

    Turnstile live!

This band is getting big now, and it's weird to see hardcore on primetime US TV!

Hardcore? In my eye jumping around doesn't make it hardcore. It's closer to softcore to me compared to...

Which is my favorite Album Of Some Ramdom Year...but never mind, I'm just the bullocks.

Well they are post-hardcore, but what I meant is they have been performing live on TV shows that had generally stopped showcasing guitar bands quite some time back. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come, and we will see more of it in the future.

@Zenarcist i saw turnstile a few times right after their first EP dropped in 2011, so wild to see the arc from makeshift stage on the floor of a DIY venue to late night TV

the members of that band play in a few other prominent hardcore bands and their early material had a lot more in common with hardcore music than their sound does now, so they sort of get grandfathered into the descriptor pretty often despite all the sonic differences. more of a vibe / attitude thing

this is my favorite one of the year so far. every track's a heater

I started collecting guitars a few years back after experiencing creative block when using electronic instruments, so I may be a little biased :) A lot of their audience are still fairly young, so it could be a generational thing?

Actually mine is better and nobody has heard it either, not even me, because it only exists inside my head

That depends on your definition of "hear" then... if you imagine hearing something, do you hear it? If you picture something in your mind, do you see it??
