Problem extracting AKAI images

    HI Guys :mates:
    I Have Big Problem Guys
    Any Time I Download The Robert Miles AKAI (2CDs) Or Best.of.Korg.KURZWEIL Or Best.Service.XXL.String.Machines.AKAI Or Something Like This
    When I Extract.The Bin File Says -Unspecified Error-
    I Try With Win XP And Windows 7
    i Receive The -Unspecified Error- Again
    My Software For Extract Is WinMount_3.4
    So What Can I Do To Fix The Problem :(

    try to mount the bin file with cue, and not extract!

    Akai and Kurzweil cd's can't just be extracted the normal way, you have to use a special program that LV mentioned, CDXtract. Then you can extract, convert samples, etc of Akai CD.

    Yes I have experienced this too, and confirm, CDXtract is the right tool.

    the AKAI format isnt read be common Image Programs, only CDXtract and Extreme Sample Converter is able too.

    First: Burn it or mount it.
    Then: Load it or extract it.

    Tools are Alkohol120%, DeamonTools, NI Kontakt and CDXtract..What tool is for what action you will find out yourself! :mates:

    Just for anyone who doesn't know yet:
    No need for CDXtract or Extreme Sample Converter, Kontakt can read AKAI CD's or ISO files natively!
    Only cue/bin have to be mounted before starting Kontakt.

    Kontakt is also one of the very few samplers than can even import Yamaha A3000/4000/5000 discs, and that once helped me a lot.

    Important to know: Doing this with Kontakt 5.x is a one-way street.
    I suggest using Kontakt versions pre-4.2 for converting, otherwise you won't be able to re-convert your Kontakt instruments into any other formats later. (by the help of CDXtract, EXSC or the like)

    Simply use Native Instruments kontakt for importing akai cd's
    After reading you can load an instrument and directly save it in kontakt format.

    Most people don't know all the possibilities off Kontakt
