I'm new to Serum and I have installed V1.017 from the sister site and the included factory presets seem to work fine, however I am having issues with installing some Revealed Serum Plucks presets.

In the Revealed Preset folder there are a bunch of .fxp files (I presume these are the presets) but there is also a WAV Samples folder with 10 wav files (I presume these are Wave Tables).

Following suggestions that can be found online, I copied the folder containing the Revealed Serum Plucks presets into the > Presets > User folder so it looks like

    C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\Serum\Serum Presets\Presets\User\Revealed Serum Plucks Vol.9

Unlike the Serum used in youtube videos, there is no rescan disk option showing in the Serum Menu drop down so I removed the instance of Serum in my DAW (Cubase Pro 11), and then closed Cubase, reopened it and loaded Serum back up.

The Revealed presets (or the folder) did not show up.

So another google search and this time I copied the Revealed presets to the Serum Presets root folder so it looks like
    C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\Serum\Serum Presets\Presets\Revealed Serum Plucks Vol.9

...and in the - init - drop down menu the Revealed Serum Plucks Vol.9 folder now shows up but when I select any preset there is no noise and nothing in the OSC A, OSC B or Filter has changed.

Where am I going wrong please?
    Thanks

    Hi Beat16

Thanks for taking the time to help, much appreciated.

A couple of follow up questions if I may.

None of those folders exist on my install and if I "show serum presets folder" in Serums drop down menu it shows:
    C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\Serum\Serum Presets\Presets\

So do I create the new folders as you suggest and move all of the factory presets and table into them?
Inside the Revealed presets there is one main folder "Revealed Serum Plucks Vol.9" which contains the presets as individual .fxp's
and then there is a folder named "Wav Samples" which has a number of Wave files.

Do I copy the whole Folder "Wav Samples" into the new C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Xfer\Serum Presets\Tables, or do I just copy the wav files from the "Wav Samples" folder?

The Serum Preset folder should look like this:

You may be using a different version of the serum.

You can copy the folders as they are.

If your folder looks different, I recommend installing the latest version of Serum. Before doing this, uninstall it properly.

    Hi Beat16 - that did it:wink:

I was using V1.017 and I have changed to V1.334 and everything now works as you described.

Thanks a lot man, I was pulling my hair out over this.

    Merry Christmas.
