    Komplete 8 they gave you a 300GB external hard drive which had ALL the software ad stuff on it. OOOOOHHHHH, wait. maybe that was just for Komplete 8 Ultimate. Maybe only the ultimates do the hard drive thing.

    I liked getting the external filled with software. It was exciting and cant really mess that up. Its all right on there. UNLESS, your Komplete 8 Ultimate hard drive failed. Then your F'ed in the A.

    I wish their customer service was as good as their product, but far from it.

    I purchased Komplete Ultimate 8 about 60 days prior 9's release at full price.
    So I contacted them asking for a free upgrade, like similar to what Ableton did if you purchased Live 8 Suite like 2 months before
    9's release they'd upgrade you free to 9.

    NI said no I needed to pay around 600 for the upgrade.

    Thats ridiculous!

    Years ago, I bought Arturia Storm 2.0 about 4 months before 3.0 came out. THEY contacted me, informing me that because of my late adoption of Storm, they would be mailing me a hard copy of 3.0 for free and that for $5 I could have them include the paper manual as well. I did. About 1 week later I had my copy of 3.0 and a manual for $5, no shipping charges. Sadly those days seem to be over... :(

    Hate to say it but, they're run by a few Germans that only know technology and nothing about customer service. Like other German companies before them such as Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen they rely on having the best products and simply expect everyone will buy them just based on that principle alone. Well, that may have worked in the 20th century but not in this one. They will never change as long as they have the same mentality running the show in Berlin.

    Well there has been a developement, somebody new has emailed me today saying they are going to send me out a whole new package!!! I dont know whats caused this? I did send an email stating how unhappy i was but i dont know if thats whats done it or there is something else at play here. Anyway if the new package turns up and all is well i will be a very happy man :)

    Watch this space.......

    Edit... Received the box set and all is now good. Why everything changed i still dont know. maybe the person i was dealing with got sacked.. who knows
