I recently returned to Apple with the purchase of a MacBook Pro 17" Mid 2011 running High Sierra.
I'm in the process of downloading all of my Kontakt Libraries because I can no longer access my PC external hard drive.
My main problem is with Output libraries like Exhale for one. I love all of the Output Kontakt libraries. However the exact same Exhale library I downloaded & installed on my Dell does not work for my Mac. (It as well as many other libraries) either are not recognizable or as in the case with Exhale show up in DEMO mode & will not play a sound.
Please someone help me fix this as I'm on a creative roll & things like this are really blowing my high.

It works on Mojave (10.14.6) which is an Intel mac laptop. I use a crack'd Kontakt 5.6.6 and followed the instructions from Exhale install,
(Just drop the folder into your NI Kontakt library directory and then add it to Kontakt.)
I have yet to get it to work on my M1 mac, the library doesn't show up and when I open it manually it's in DEMO mode.

A library isn't cracked. Only Kontakt.

Not so.
Your Kontakt isn't patched or cracked, and as the other member said, it has to be installed via 5.6.0 or 5.6.6 anyway.

Means Kontakt not cured.
Although, even then it should play for 15 minutes before it times out...

Which is on which OS version, I wonder?

Big Sur, no Mojave, yes.
Good to know my library isn't crack'd...

 

Exhale seems to only work with a version 5 of Kontakt and not in 6 or Komplete Kontrol. If someone has gotten it to work with 6 or Komplete please share your process. Thanks--

please someone suggest a v5 Kontakt version to complement and run parallel to that latest bob dule 622 version, win 10 pc obviously.
for maximum compatibility with some of those older libraries.

I think the last good Kontakt prior to all the strangeness was 6.3.2 .
Any newer version required going to HS, and that is where the problem of adding old libraries started.
RAS2 to RAS3 happened. I guess it is related.

And I just mentioned Sierra because Kontakt 6.4.X requires High Sierra, but 6.3.2 probably still works on Big Sur right now.

Well, the workaround on macOS, which is the forum we are in, was to use the Add Library button from either 5.6.0, 5.6.6, or even 5.6.8.
And it could coexist because Kontakt is now just called Kontakt.
WiN had the Add Library.exe.
The patching and cracking were done by different teams across the platforms; I don't think your question is that simple, otherwise it would have been done already.
And really it is OT.

my main problem is the size of these libraries in conjunction with how often I would use them. and whoa, are some of them ungodly huge...

And tbh, Exhale was like 'the producer's' go-to back in 2017 or whenever it came out.
And it was used on everything for a couple of years.
I think as long as it is used subtley it's all good.
Yet it's nothing you couldn't do yourself, so I don't think you're missing much!

Maybe worth mentioning: I only used the Uhs and Ooos, not the Whoas.

I have currently created a partition where I am running Catalina and Sonoma on my Mac Pro 2019 (Intel). Kontakt was fine on Catalina but Sonoma doesn’t show any libraries after installing Kontakt 7.10

i cant use Kontakt 5.6.1 on Sonoma. I’ve tried all the tools. 1 library shows up and works yet the others don’t.
I’m baffled.
The KLU tool shows they are installed and all good but the appear blank in Kontakt when I’m in Ableton and Logic.

Any ideas how I can get the libraries to show up in Kontakt 7. I don’t understand why it’s confused. Sonoma is a nightmare.

A full step by step guide or any ideas how I can get a solution, I’d be massively grateful.
