Interesting read, I'd stay clear of those windows key sites offering MS Office and MS Windows keys at extremely cheap prices as I read in a PC Pro magazine last night that most of those cheap keys offered are dodgy keys, that's why they offer them so cheap. What restrictions are there in inactivated Win 10 Pro? The only ones I have encountered are customizing your theme, wallpaper or screen saver and you can easily live without those. I also find that using Win 10 without a key as being more stable. I haven't had a single crash or blue screen since I installed it off the Microsoft site.

 

It is free. Download it and use it for as long as you want even if you don't activate it.

 

You can still activate Windows 10 with your old legit Windows 7 , 8 or 8.1 keys, it was supposed to be for a limited time but it still works for most everyone. I don't know if it will work for win 11 activation.
A little trivia:
Even if Microsoft would have successfully migrated more than 80% of its active customers to Windows 10 and this number also includes the XBOX gaming consoles, there are 200 million PCs worldwide still running older Windows versions, mostly Windows 7. Verify the numbers for yourselves as these numbers vary with a lot more Windows 7 holdout users than previously estimated.

No, I had a Win 7 license that I upgraded to Win 10 as soon as it became available, but then needed to run win7 to flash the bios about 5-6 months later, so reinstalled win7 temporarily, and it activated just fine via the official servers during the install, so they don't seem to revoke the win7 key. (I then later ended up buying two legit Win10 keys as I ran through a pair of bad motherboards, and finally said fuck it and went back to KMS activation, screw paying 3 times for the same OS)
