It's not like I'm proud, but I've made a few beers and euros with the same extortion method. Works well after seeing ears bleed after the initial rejection...

Yes, its nothing to be honest, but its because i am on the underground grindcore scene, and you cant charge too much for such "music".
However, i am going to raise the prices, since i am from Argentina and here with 60 bucks you barely can buy something.

How about that: Musical instruments should no longer be taxed. With us, 19% of every purchase goes to the state.

Lately, making tutorials and masterclasses has started to be a profitable source of income as well. Make more money from teaching how to make music than what you make from making music.

This might help you, some really good tips:wink:

Instead of taking 19% sales tax on musical instruments they should pay out 20% for every instrument bought (and played of course).
People who make music don't commit crimes at the same time. In the end, the state even saves money
The State needs less police, judges, prosecutors and prisons. Making music saves the world :disco:

I've been telling myself the same lie for years.

I'm beginning to think that's PRECISELY why I don't actually try to make money off of music.

I'm surprised no one here makes money? I don't either but I'm a hardcore introvert and never desired to self-promote or hustle with music anyway. Someone did pay $5 once, so I can't say not a penny :bleh:.

But I have known a few people who got signed to small commercial EDM labels as early as 2012 and assume they've made at least something before fizzling out and becoming irrelevant. But I've always been opposed to "getting signed".

in 2012 i did some tracks for a school that needed some 80's songs for the kids to sing along, i earned some argentinian pesos, i think it was the equivalent of 10 dollars or something like that due to inflation lol

I started learning music production and audio engineering last year and this year I started making my first jobs with production and composing, I'm currently working for a german musician producing one of his songs for 100 euros. I'm quite happy with that but my dream is to gain music as an obscure artist on bandcamp (believe me or not)

The next big thing is going to be bagpipes, trust me - the sooner you get practicing the better.

Fifty years ago in America. The father said to his 10 year old son, if you are now learning the piano, why did the son ask, when
you are an adult and you are unemployed, can you earn some money playing the piano and you don’t have to go hungry.
