Free Steinberg products? New license system tests?

 

No. It is an old license test, they still use elicenser, because this is elicenser product... But since they revived it, it must be something behaind the curtains... They never gave something for free, and i mean from their collection...

 

Yes ,that is free, but it is VST sound from 3rd party developer. They (Steinberg) never have given their paid software for free... Imagine they give to us Cubase SX 3, or even SE version... Nah, they are still under shareware licensing system even though they are not supported more than decade... Not to mention Cubase 4 or 5... That will never happen

 

Steinberg only supports products that sell well.
Free Sequel 3: Steinberg hopes that you will then buy another Steinberg product.

Maybe they give us many discount product for free, because of new licensing system.
It’s not easy to change licensing system for old products

 

The aim was the GarageBand market. Reaper is a different beast, it’s fully fledged as most users will attest to, but it has no sounds, you need your own. The idea with sequel is you have the tools to start making music with it for very little outlay. If I was starting and had no previous software it would be Cakewalk by Bandlab, that is probably it’s most relevant contemporary.
