It's one of the most important sound packs they offer. have you ever tried to engage a card carrying studio walker?
they don't always clean their shoes which can end up costing time and money,,, not to mention the smell!

They mention SparkVerb and Thorus as some of their recent effect plugins. Since I don't think they are in .ufs form, anyone know if those previously released R2R banks are working with the recent R2R Falcon release?

UVI Thorus and Sparkverb are effects / plugins and not sound banks. Thorus and Sparkverb are firmly integrated in the Falcon VSTi.

Well Walker library is very useful, you never know when you gonna need it...For example i still have typewriter Kontakt library , and was used couple of times, but when i downloaded it i have thought for what even reason i'm gonna need this, but in the end i really did.... You never know...

Anyway, regarding Walker library there is oldie but goldie BOOM Library Virtual Foley Artist Footsteps, and it is amazing, btw which i had until recently, just another day i deleted it by accident and now i dont know where to download it again, because it is not available anywhere, even on Russian torrent site... That's pity...

Other than that, all other UVI libraries i personally don't like, nothing new that you don't have in other Kontakt libraries...
Same like Balkan Ethnic Orchestra, drowned in reverb, but dry sound is like shit... I can't imagine how sounds Jade Orchestra, i am afraid to download... :D

To continue, UVI have that advantage over Kontakt, for example, it has a lot better FX inside VST so everything sounds a lot better, but once you turn off fx, the truth is just disappointing...
In addition to all that i have said, compared to Kontakt it has a synth\wavetable\granular engine, which again after Serum\Spire\Sylenth1\Avenger\Arturia etc, doesn't sound so convincing to me, like a preset user....
Halion 6 has same capabilities and i like it better with better GUI layout, for sample editing and sound design in general...
So thanks to R2R they brought to us all these goodies, they have maybe spare some people to waste money without proper trial of UVI products....
For me it is not worth or nothing new, for that amount of data do be downloaded or even worse to buy :/

 

So now that we have 121 Falcon expansions - what's next?

At Christmas and New Years we are traditionally spoiled and given gifts by the teams. Probably this year too, if nothing comes of the way. I let myself be surprised and I hope that the power does not fail and that my internet connection remains stable.

For me it looks like this: We have long since had enough of everything, it is even enough for several lifetimes, but we like to collect and like to be surprised. You should actually only download what you would buy. Since we all have too much, we have a sense of wealth. It can't get boring, there is always something to hear and play.

There is always an alternative in life.

1. If you don't like contact you can use Falcon.
2. If you don't like Falcon, you can use Kontakt.
3. Some people don't like Falcon and Kontakt.
4. Some like Falcon and Kontakt.

 

every bank so far its dope..... dont be fooled and presets are super fast to load even with a 5320rpm drive. Download as much as you can and see what you dont need. And remember to buy after trying.

The reFX - Nexus 2 VSTi (14,7 GB) is the alternative to Nexus 3.
