    Hmm. This was a sampler.
Did they use the original sample library of the the Emulator?
Or just make an engine with the anaolgue filters of the Emulator?

The sounds were created with vintage hardware and are available as individual instruments or multis.
This is for people who love the sound but cannot or do not want to buy such a hardware synthesizer.

    E-mu Emulator II sound demos

The Emulator II is one of the most successful samplers of the 1980s.
The 12 "cover of the track Blue Monday by New Order, designed by Peter Saville, was inspired by the 5.25" floppy disk that was used on the Emulator Synthesizer to store the samples with which this hit was composed. Other users included Depeche Mode, Front 242, Pet Shop Boys, Deep Purple, Holger Hiller, Michael Cretu and Peter Mergener.

@BEAT16 My question was about the original sounds.
So the presets that made the Emulator II great are not in this plugin?
I guess you are saying "no".
Yeah, so the pipe sound and the bird sound at the start of the video ARE original Emulator sounds.
So these type of things aren't in the plugin? Thanks.
    Useless video for me.
Thanks! I was there first time around!
    Exactly.
After collecting Kontakt instruments for my live work since Kontakt 2 in 2005, I'm still waiting on something that compares to the ones I've been banging on about.
Obviously I can play anything and attune to its strong points and avoid its weak points, but with the right Kontakt instruments I don't have to.

Why don't you download it and test it, if you like the sound, keep it, if not delete it again.

Man, this thread is killing me. I was hoping it'd help me whittle down the mountain of stuff I've downloaded, but all it's done is encourage me to download more stuff.

As soon as I'm finished downloading Quadra -- Metal and Wood and Synth Anthology 3, I'm just going to download JP Legacy and then I swear I'm done.

I'm so glad I've got no use for actual instruments like pianos and what have you. I'd be finished if I had to download that stuff as well.

Quadra series, Analog&Digital Motion, Lofi Dreams, Atmospherics and many moreeee.
I'm thinking of deleting Omnisphere already. Not because of the sounds. Its working so fast and you can find anything you want easly. I am loving the patches and pre-made macro knobs. You can make a really good sounds with modulation. :beg:

I thought this was a pisstake when I first saw it. But it seems legit. WTF? I mean, why?

Having said that, I recently bought the claps stomps and snaps bundle by Boz

    https://www.bozdigitallabs.com/product/claps-stomps-and-snaps-bundle/

If I ever need to do a cover of "We Will Rock You" or the Adams Family, I'm covered. The Claps plugin is my favorite and the one that will get the most use though. It's actually pretty neat. Love Boz's stuff.

Whatever next? Covid Cough plugin, for those authentic sneezes and sniffles?

As for that Walker plugin, I think they're clutching at straws with that one.

A couple of years back when I was doing sound for video/film I would've killed for that. For music, perhaps not.

I'm almost tempted to DL it just to try it out to see if I can abuse it. But I'm up to over 100 libraries/expansions now for Falcon and almost half a Terabyte. I've got everything I want and have given the 30GB libs a miss where they are just doing old Roland keyboards. I like Roland, but not as much as Korg or Yamaha or Ensoniq, so I don't feel like I'm missing out.

The claps stomps and snaps by Boz can be abused in some quite musical and interesting ways, which I forget at the moment, but they are fairly flexible.

I'll admit the interface looks very good for this walker plugin, but I think I've got more than enough to be getting on with. I still haven't even installed Falcon yet! Will this be the plugin that makes me crack and buy in to ilok? I doubt it. But there's nothing stopping me paying for it anyway or any library I use a lot just to salve my guilty conscience. That's the problem with going legit, once you've paid for 95 percent of everything you use, you always eventually end up paying for the other 5 percent as well.

I would have already bought this by now if it wasn't ilok. I know Simon Stockhausen speaks very highly of it when comparing it to Halion (which I do own). I respect Simon a lot both as sound designer and as a human being. I know he gets really upset about people using cracks of his work for free. I'm happy to pay for what I use. I don't have loads of money, but I can usually scrape things together if needs be. The thing is, I also pay for the software I don't use. And very rarely sell stuff even if it doesn't get use.

I'm actually really looking forward to trying this software (Falcon) and all the different libraries. R2R has provided an opportunity to make it a very convenient one stop shop now. Kudos to them. The thing is, even though I have Kontakt and Halion, there are loads and loads of libraries for the first and not so many for the latter. So even though I was interested at first in the synthesis capabilities of Falcon (still am) I'm actually rather curious about some of those Pianos and whatnot. If I found an instrument that really wowed me and I could see becoming a standard for me, I would definitely buy it. I've heard great things about the Ravenscroft among others.

I saw someone on KVR the other day selling his Falcon and all expansions for £400.

LOL. I guess that is one guy who subscribes to the "Buy before you Try" philosophy.

people get so much wrong is baffling, it isn't just about the sound in (x) instrument
but the sound of (X) instrument! the few kb of original sound of the emu aren't particularly interesting
but how the emu treats the sounds is what's interesting.
same with the (Foley) walking sounds, to have a sampler do that Dynamicly is just awesome.

i´ll keep all the extensions, hope to get a deeper look into lua script, or at least
how to build a complex patch.
Fm Suite sounds awesome. Most of the acoustic instruments sound cool in context, but sometimes
a bit potent in the mids, which is Pop (mix intended)me thinks.
some of the filters are oldschool emu esi smooth but without the bite
i wonder, can uvi eq be used inside the falcon (like shade)
    meteor sounds fat!
didn't have enough time to properly dive into this thing, yet!

    Hardly.

I recently had to do foley footsteps/clothing for a feature film.
There are several pretty reasonable products that cover this kind of thing but depending on the scene and requisite ambience its always best to have as many of these libraries as possible.

This is interesting  I'm interested in this option and the Parallels option. Could you explain in detail what you're doing and how in PM maybe? I've got a juicy 2020 Intel Mac (MBP) but also a few older MBP's and a desktop PC lying around that I could test this on.
