I have been doing a lot of searching, but I have not been able to find a 'go-to' reverb plugin. The best one I've found is Waves TrueVerb, which is nice, but I'm left wanting more. I'd appreciate if you could list your top 5 reverb plugins, and maybe why you like them.

 

dude, you dont want anything than Valhalla for a goto reverb. For a serious reverb, no algorithmic/impulse reverb beats Nebula. That's it.

Adobe Audition built in stuff, Maserati for a plug in. I think it's in Waves. That one tugs on your CPU a little, but has some very lush sounding presets.

A do all/end all reverb? There are lots of perfectly fine sounding reverbs out there. Trust your ears. You know what they say about opinions....

 

I personally use the reverb part of camelspace and it works fine for me :D

 

Can`t go far wrong with the 2C Audio plugs, Breeze and Aether.

I also really like playing with Audio Damage EOS, just something about that verb that works for me.

i really like space designer and i sometimes use softube's tsar, that's a great one too!

 

Ditto EOS audio damage, easy to use, clean, good sounding.

 

my wife always likes stuff that's easy to clean.

Valhalla plugins for reverb, delay, chorus and combinations of these is 90% of what I use... other 10% is mostly some weird VST plugins I picked up along the way, stuff like SignalDust plugins... and the best reverb is not a reverb but delay, actually. A short delay like VladG "Proximity".

I couldnt live without " The Phunken " reverb

also like.. Black Geese and Chamberline. Both have tasty tails and easy to use.

On a serious note, I like Reflektor and Live's Stock Reverb.

 

i really like the native intruments ones...RC24 and RC48, I use them 80% of the time basically

my third to go is the masterverb from wave arts, which is pretty flexible (but a bit "clinical")

fourth would be trueverb from Waves

and once and a while I use breverb2 from Overloud...but i dont even have it installed atm...so it's really not that often!

(i also like the reverbs from Nomad Factory's Magma..though i use em exclusively on guitar tracks)

 

I like these because they are low CPU (figures in %total CPU usage on a i3-530 with HT, 4 virtual cores) : ReaVerbate (Reaper builtin) 0.3% , BREVERB2 0.6% , Toneboosters Reverb 1%.

2C Audio's B2 is hands down my favorite. Perfect for orchestral, but also great for sound design, rock, and vocals. Valhalla is great too, and lighter on resources. But when I tried out B2, I hadn't been so immpressed about a reverb plugin since the first time I fired up Altiverb (which has unfortunately seen better days, for most uses).
