What do you recommend?

    Hi everybody!
    In a few days I will have a 2021 Macbook Pro with M1(14")
    I will need to install some progrmas like Kontakt, Live, Waves, Performer, etc ...(cr'ed!) What OS do you recommend I have installed? I read that there are people who had problems with Big Sur, some recommend downgrading to Mojave, others say that it is best to have Catalina on, etc...

    You can't downgrade below Big Sur on M1 machines. The best alternative is running older MacOS versions in a Parallels VM.

    Monterey is awful, that's all I have to say about it.

    Thanks for your answer Xeraser!. I didn't know about you cannnot dowgrade below Big Sur on M1 machines...
    Do you mean the software Parallels VMware? I am reading it allows you to install Windows and Linux on your Mac.
    Or do you mean another thing?
