i have bought new HDD and i want to move the Nexus 3 Library Content folder, how can i locate the library in Nexus 3 again ?

It´s the Release that was on our Sister Site .

You need to change the location on the settings.json file.
On windows:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\reFX\nexus

On Mac:

/Users/Shared

Because i had the same issue and that solved it (make sure to point the right path)

 

you can double slash this way for the library path, it also works.

C:\/Users\/Public\/Documents\/reFX\/nexus Library

it will revert to single slash after the nexus opening, rewriting the .json file on close.
but opening normally with all the content after this step only used to take the location change.

the VR installer use "Nexus Library" folder as default content path. you can place your old library inside to get them showing.
or edit the .json with double slash to take the change.

 

Hello there, when N3 got released, I wrote an app (a really dumb app) for updating the nexus content path automatically with just running it!
attached here are the source code with the build script (for who doesn't trust a random guy on the net) and the pre-built binary if you're just lazy and/or are not a tech guy.

PS: due to the packaging method, some antivirus could flag the app as a virus due to the unpacking all the logic into %temp%

have you saved the updated file as a .json, and not .txt?

did this myself when updating a couple of days ago, I was having a little senior moment, forgot I had to save it as .json extension

 

"c:\\Nexus Content" is not good

"C:\\Nexus Content" should be ok
dont use minus caracter for root letter drive in the path will react better.

 

Use Link Shell Extension to link the Folder from an external HDD to the correct FIlepath (Don't need to change the config and Lib is on external Drive working with Nexus 4.5.4 here should be the same for Nexus 3).

the "Partagé" is the shared version !

 

Change "Partagé" to "shared" in the json file
and change the // to / in the path.
