As there was no demo nor cracked version until now, where all the hype was coming from if it's not from legit users themselves? Are they all liars or sponsored trolls?
I can't count how many times I've heard bedroom producers complaining that Omnisphere's sounds were so huge they didn't fit into the mix...
Pros knows how to deal with both.
FLAC is a lossless compression format which is absolutely indistinguishable from WAV (same goes with Kontakt lossless compression format), so your comment is ... "thin, sounding to me".

There was no demo of the Falcon because it happened more often that these talented crackers that Falcon would otherwise have released for the masses. A wise move by Falcon. Like R2R always said, "We can't crack anything if we don't have it"!

The people who bought and used the Falcon before, some of the sound designers who work for the film, never say anything bad about Falcon, otherwise they would not have bought the product.

It is a fatal mistake to believe that anyone is giving the trolls money to write here. Almost all trolls have an underlying mental illness. In short, the people who have the least idea about music always have the biggest mouth.

Well, my thread got a huge feedback, thanks !

    Some clarifications :

    1/ I'm more excited by a Behringer 2600 than a $4000 synth workstation - personal taste

2/ I gratefully thanks R2R for all efforts on cracking Falcon ... It made me possible to test it by myself

3/ Some features are really nice : some sequencers, some effects, multi -synthesis .. I agree with this

4/ I tested it with every libs released, making my own patches, over the whole weekend, around 20 hours. Yes it may not be enough for a deep drive, I agree.

5/ Due to the huge amount of hype around the product, I tought it could be the ultimate "all-in-one" full-packed synth, but I feel I'm more into products like Arturia Pigment / Uhe Zebra for sound creation ...

    Well, personal taste ...

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one. No disrespect to R2R, they went above and beyond.
I had come close to buying Vintage Vault several times but now having tried them, I find the UVI sample libraries are all very bland and shallow sounding. The best way I would describe it is as if each library was a school assignment to multi-sample a synth.

Nothing to do with R2R?? - How completely coincidental the release of Falcon by R2R the first cracked version ever, prompts a thread like this that has not raised its head before with so many people who previously nearly begged for it on the sister site.

Who do you think you are kidding with "Nothing to do with R2R??" Not anyone intelligent who knows most of the people who are saying they are not impressed never paid for it or used it before. If someone said they have had it for two years and listed why after delving deeply into every facet of it, not after a few days of a cracked release - then it can be taken seriously - THEN it would have nothing to do with R2R and not armchair critics who probably have never had it.
Or, if this thread started three months from now any sensible person could see that anyone commenting might have spent several months getting into it thoroughly. Not after a few days that likely did not have 8 hours per day spent on it because they would never had time to download everything that disappeared as quickly as it appeared.

Well, I hadn't enough time with Falcon don't have the whole picture and still discovering it, but firstly for me the whole architecture of Falcon as a layer structured strict hierarchy (program-layers-keygroup-oscilator) is downside compared to more open Melda way.
Melda has more advanced Oscilators-Sound Generators (FM,Additive Wavetable,AnalogStyle) - but Sample Oscilators are not as good as Falcon got. All those building, signal flow and signal combination blocks Melda has to offer in whichever combination are mind-bending. Melda Multiparameters are more sophisticated than Falcon Macros. Melda effect section offers you every effect they produced thats more than 100 different effects nevertheless Falcon effect list is very impressive too Melda effects seem to offer user more controls (have to discover Falco effects more). Melda random engine is Random on steroids to get you paths you could never think of.

Some of us like pleasuring others while reading about how others like to pleasure themselves while others talk about UVI.
No harm in a little vicarious virtual voyeurism.

I think its great for pads or evolving/droney/backround type sounds.
The Acousticsamples B-5 and Mark79 sound dope, Virharmonic Cello and Violin are fantastic.
Haven't had time to try all the rest yet but its a solid sound generator..

Some sound designers have these expensive hardware synthesizers at home and make users who have fallen in love with a certain sound do not need to buy the expensive hardware, but buy a cheaper sound library. However, if you have to do with film music / advertising professionally, you are already considering contact, Falcon or Omnisphere 2.

There are also musicians who produce professional music and who can really use the Falcon. Today there is a huge range of samples and presets and everyone should actually find what they are looking for. Personally, I usually only find 2 or 3 sounds out of 128 presets audible and that's why I make my own presets myself. I prefer to work with * .Wav samples.

Remember that "analog becomes digital", everything that can be digitized will also be digitized. Then there are the working robots. We are right in the middle of the digital revolution.

”I am not so impressed by electricity, I touched it a couple of times and it felt kind of bad. Overhyped.”

If you can’t figure out what to do with Falcon, then just… ok.

In general, I like uvi and I see it interesting, it is a plus for the productions but I do not believe that I am replaced by diva hive serum omnisphere kontakt (maybe 5 years ago if) and much less that I have to have 10 tb of samples on my PC to be able to create a hit
If you don't like uvi "Skip" and go ahead

    Hmm gotcha.
As weird as this sounds, I'm more comfortable with Melda's UI than Falcon. And since I don't use sample oscillators (except Padshop) I probably won't spend any time learning Falcon inside out.

Hello quadcore64, as I can see your controller is set to full power. If you feel like it, you can correct the table or add something.

A.) I speak from my own experience. (Professionals from whom the world benefits)
B.) I'm just giving a bad, baseless judgment. (Model I wasn't loved as a kid)
C.) I have no idea and join the majority. (Model very unsure, no opinion of your own)
D.) Someone is asked what you think of it and he answers to the best of his knowledge and belief. (Model does her best)
E.) No matter what is said here, I already have a ready-made answer. (Model born stupid and learned nothing)
F.) I am stupid and an egomaniac and treat other people like the last asshole (model anti-social not socially acceptable)

Get real! I am not impressed by Ableton Live. Is that the fault of R2R or the software developer?
I am impressed by Cytomic' The Glue. Is that due to the software developer or R2R?

Having used UVI Workstation, Falcon, was not that far of a leap for me. A well designed product will reveal what it has to offer within a half-hour session.

In the heart of New York City where most of the Pro music shops were, there were once so-called 'demonstration pits' where musicians could get some notice & pick up gigs if, they could hold the entry stage for 5 minutes. From there you had a chance to demo products on the main stage for a day fee. This impression never left me after that visit.

If I'm being honest, I only downloaded it because of how uptight that 'acoustic samples' bloke got when it came to his sample packs. The reality is I have no desire to go deep into LUA Scripting, and if I did? Well I would stick with Halion 6 for that.
As for most other sounds etc I have all the quality synths I need.

EDIT:- And now I have tons of posts to read through. Blimey, this Falcon really did cause a stir.. Gotta love the hype ain't ya!

Yeah but be fair. That guy could sample the noise ya get from wiping ya arse and STILL turn it into a grammy awared winning performance.
