    Hello there friends.
I will be purchasing a new PC for 3D work (modeling rendering, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro etc)
and Music. Probably this will be my last PC and I won't be upgrading except for Storage. and no overclocking or games for me. this is what I've decided to buy and frankly stuff is limited here so my choice is based mostly on price and what is available. I hope later to buy a 4K Screen or maybe 2 (Screen real-estate is very important to me) this is my first time with water coolant so advice on that is essential (will it be enough? or noisy? also the PSU

    the Items are:
    1X Intel Core i7-10700K

1X Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML120L V2 RGB Liquid Cooler

    1X NZXT H510 CA-H510B-B1 Mid-Tower Case Matte Black

    1X Cooler Master MWE 750W MPE-7501-ACABW V2 Bronze Efficiency PSU (Active PFC/ 88% Efficiency )

    1X ASRock B560 Pro4 DDR4 LGA1200

    2X HyperX Fury 16GB Beast (1 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory KF432C16BB1/16 – KF432C16BB/16

    1X Kingston SKC2500M8/1000G NVMe 1TB PCIe SSD

1X Zotac 3070 12gb for (I would go for the 3060 but I guess this one is better for Real time Rendering)

Other storage will be provided by my old WD black Drives

    Any advice is appreciated

    best regards to all

I have a Cooler Master ML240L on my Ryzen R9-3900X, and I don't find it noisy at all... unless my PC is realllllly being worked. At that point I'm not sure if it's the GPU's fans that are louder or the CPU. Really, it'll probably ramp up pretty good when you're rendering, but for everything else you won't hear much at all. You could even probably sacrifice a bit of heat and dial your fans back a bit if you're doing some live recording.

I guess acceptable noise level is fairly subjective though. I'm not particularly anal about this because all music production I do is completely ITB, so external noise is a non-issue for me. You can definitely get quieter cooling though (especially with a completely liquid cooling vs. an AIO), but it's still not too bad. I know Noctua makes some good air coolers though with pretty quiet operation, such as the NH-D15S. I'm not sure what kind of magic Noctua has going on but they have a good mix of performance and lower noise levels. In fact, their air coolers are probably better overall than most AIOs, especially single 120mm fan AIOs. I have never used them, but I think Be Quiet! also make some good air coolers that a lot of people recommend.

As far as the parts list, all looks pretty good. Are there better components? Sure, for example, the i7-12700k is available, but that's a different socket (so you'd need to pair with with a diff mobo) and probably an extra $80-100. But really, what you've parted out already looks like it would handle all the stuff you're throwing at it pretty well.

not really into pc builds anymore but if available i'd always go for the noctua nh-d15 as a cooling solution. less fancy looking, but super quiet and among the best in terms of performance, liquid and air. little more expensive i guess, but its the last cooler you'll ever buy. i feel like air cooling is just more reliable in general, but i also never had a liquid cooler so my assumption might not be worth much here lol. definitely less stressful when it comes to installation and maintenance though.

Looks good but you should get 2 ram sticks, so two of those 2x16 GB because 16 is a bit small and you need two for dual channel mode, otherwise performance also is affected with just one stick

EDIT never mind :) I see now you wrote 2x in front.

even though you said availability is a problem
but your emphasis is design work
    so have a look here
look at the price to Performance
a ryzen 5900x Will give you greater leverage in your work
while still comparable to newer silicon
like boogie said always dual channel ram, even for intel!

IMHO...The system you laid out is grossly under-spec'd.

Matching a power supply to an i7 & 3070 should be 850W gold or platinum rated (Corsair, Be Quite, Seasonic preferably).

A i5-12600K on a DDR4 based Z690 board will offer equal or superior performance to the i7-10700K.

Avoid anything requiring RGB control & software. This can add to background task overhead & random system errors.

You should also have a 2.5" SSD (or another NVMe) set up as a scratch drive.

What about local backup stage? Have you taken that into account?

you are buying gen4 NVME to use on a gen3 mobo. what a waste.
get better gen3 NMVE instead. (i suggest a samsung 960 EVO)

if your using SSD for OS, keep in mind it will be used up after a certain number of read/writes.

and now might be a good time to consider loading dual boot, before you've loaded all the soft.
its pretty easy, research the two OS's your interested in, and youtube how to install one, then the second OS.
linux is well known for 3D and graphic

as ssd, i would suggest to put one or two samsung 980 pro. it is gen 4 so it can take full advantage of the bandwith, and having two on raid 0 can be helpful, but with one you should be ok

    Hey @Yellow Raven

Since we both use our PCs for 3d/design/video and music here is my 2c. I built 2 machines this year (still, not an expert)

More info would be helpful to give you a better advice. First, I went for Ryzen 59XXx builds. So there is the "why not a Ryzen" question. Maybe if you'd list the prices of the components it would make sense.

Now the 3D modelling/rendering. What SW, but more importantly, shader/renderer engine do you use? Let's say V-ray can use either CPU or GPU-Nvidia CUDA cores. If it's set to CPU, the GPU will obviously sleep on it. Still RTX3070 is IMO a minimum for any serious work. I bought the 3080 EVGA ftw3 (pricey, but the only available at the time) which is a huge brick because of the semi passive design, but the fans rarely spin (can't complain). There are reasons to use CPU rendering though and there's where Ryzen shines..

Have to say, Ryzen is hot. I have a premium 360 AIO to cool it down.. really don't know if for that Intel 120 AIO is enough. Anyway, liquid cooling is not some magic solution. 120mm fans and even the pump can be noisy. I would go for liquid again but I'm not against a premium air cooler or smthn.. Like already noted, PSU is a bit weak.

not as bad as i thought. i tried looking up the video card you listed, and the cheapest place i could find was over $1000 for just the video card.
