35 pages of presets becomes 155 pages of presets after hitting sync. It did take about 10 minutes to download and update though

 

Be aware though that there is a lot of crap in the 155 pages and the filtering of presets isn't great so it's harder to find the decent presets

 

Just updated to 2.1.0, went online and synced. Tremendous! Backed up the presets folder straight away and back offline again.155 pages of presets to p about with

 

@Donut Nyamer that's also why i create these threads! now for example we have more than 3,000 presets to try!

 

OH ok.. I just noticed now it says "downloading library..". I guess I'll wait for that to finish before I close my DAW. It showed 35 pages still when I checked (a day later), so I should wait for that to finish.

Another discovery... if you move away from the packs filter and go to full search, then change the filter from "Approved" to "All".. you now have 299 pages of presets rather than 155

 

after the sync. what becomes your username?

Only just got this as I was dubious!!..can I ask where is the destination folder for the presets please Halfman?
& to everyone who has this version...has anyone had it timebomb yet?

 

No timebomb.
There is a sync button at the top right of the GUI you have to press in the Presets Browser window

 

That's great! no timebomb thanks Stuck In The 80's, I was asking about the destination folder as halfman 'backed up' & went offline I assumed he backed up the holding destination of those presets..or am I wrong & he 'downloaded' them before going offline?

 

Mine is at: -

"C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Roaming\Cableguys\ShaperBox\3shaperbox2\presets"

 

Offtopic, but if anyone's VolumeShaper or Kickstart got timebombed (both Cableguys products), there is a file called Kickstart1.0.9.crashlog created in AppData/Roaming/Cableguys. You need to delete it and in the DAW just close the GUI and reopen it, it will get un-timebombed.

Kickstart1.0.9 and VolumeShaper4 both regularly timebomb, idk why, just not properly cured ig. The waveforms appear to be cut-off and clicking on them opens cableguys homepage

Just decided to go for it & press sync and got this message as it tried to connect to server 'We are sorry but the plugin was unable to connect to the Cableguys server, Please make sure your internet connection is working & the plugin is not blocked by a firewall'.
My internet is fine & checked firewall & can't see Cableguys or Shaperbox in there. I am using Windows 10 with FL Studio 20.6 but I have in the past been able to connect other plugins to the internet with no problems.
Any help would be appreciated.
