    Hey,
I'm searching for a nice Black Friday Reverb, and I'm very picky with the plugins I use legit.

Does anyone here use seventh heaven? I tried the demo and yeah, of course it sounds very good. I was wondering, is that whole "fusion IR" stuff just marketing and Seventh Heaven just loads very well sampled IR's, or is there really more too it, like the modulation of the Bricasti M7? Not only that, but I especially like the realistic tone, and Bricasti IR's, that I tried, really seem too bright and too static.

I think with many plugins, the downsides show when you use it for a longer time, when the "new plugin hype" is over. So yeah, maybe you used it and now something else?!

I'm looking forward to your answers.

Hey bro, I've tried the Liquidsonics one and the Slate Digital (powered by Liquidsonics as well) M7 emulation, and honestly, even tho they sound good I still prefer Pro-R from Fabfilter. The modulation on it is really "creamy" and make it easier to mix the source with the reverb easier and you have total control about the tone of the reverb as well. It can be a bit overhelming if you're not used to it, but once you get used you can easily draft the reverb the way you like.

I don't know, but for me Bricasti always sounded more dark and lush, specially compared with popular choices like Valhalla Room. That said, you can get something similar in Pro-R by tweaking the Brightness knob towards dark, increasing the character to at least 50% to add non linearities (kinda) and maybe taming down the highs on the eq section if needed.

PS. Never even saw a real Bricasti M7, so, my opinion is purely based on those two plugins I've mentioned above.

I am convinced that in a blind test, most would not be able to tell the difference of the sound from a DAW stock reverb and a "high end" one.
I'm the first to admit that I fall into this category so won't be bothering downloading that EastWest from the sister site.

From my side, I just deleted SH pro, coz its reverb is not bright enough for my taste, I gave another chance to valhalla and slate digital verbsuit for IR, also I use eventide blackhole for massive type reverbs, I feel them richer/wider and brighter.

The time for a new contest has arrived!

I'm looking forward to exploring these verbs more over BF sales.

The differences are larger than you might think, given the right examples.

(see the percussion example at 12:00 onwards - other reverbs have undesirable audio artefacts that are quite obvious)

I’ve got a lot of reverbs including convo stuff from other companies. These Liquidsonics ones have a milky quality that are a great variation to have in the toolbox.

SH can have sometimes a sort of dullish effect, which can be tweaked of course with the onboard EQ. Since LiquidSonics is having a store-wide BF sale right now, I would highly recommend your trying out Cinematic Rooms and Lustrous Sound (which models plate vrbs with different materials...might be the tone quality you're looking for).

Just adding to my last reply... I recently tried the TSAR-1 from Softube and it really impressed me, it is versatile and since it has just a few sliders it's quite easy to learn how to configure it to your need/taste. Annnnnd... it has a color slider that you can pull toward "dark" to get those Bricasti vibes. Sounds kinda expensive to my ears, really recommend if one's looking for a high quality reverb tone.

Sonsig Reverb A, Cinematic Room, and VSS4 might be a good option too

    Thanks for your many answers!
I really tried everything here that I could get my hands on, or demo them, and now I decided to go with
Relax lx480 Essential and Seventh Heaven pro. I really like the darker and smooth tone of it! Pro R was also very high on my list.
