I really would like to read some examples of stuff you consider better than Falcon. Just to know.

 

for which synthesis type? Falcon does virtual analog, wavetable, phase distortion, FM, additive and physical modeling, sampling. what others? And for nearly each specific one, you will find a good challenger for Falcon.

VA- Spire/Diva/Hive
Wavetable - Serum, Vital
Phase Distortion - Phaseplant
FM - FM8, Phaseplant
Additive - Razor
Physical Modeling - take your pick
Sampler - Kontakt, Tal, and everything in between
FX - all very good. nothing there are not easy replacements for.
filters specifically - UVI Shade either way. Maybe you get that for X-mas?

But Falcon is all rolled up neatly for you. It's best comparisons for current and possible features and sounds would be against Reaktor or Reason imo. Similar price level. Falcon is 30% off for every "sale" price, about 250.

interesting @clone ... could we find something that versatile? maybe most stuff inside falcon sounds good.

 

I use it in almost every project. (for something). And then since it is already loaded in a project as an instance; I will send more midi traffic its way. it is not easy to say that it's individual elements stand up on their own, against other choices. it's the sum of many channels and how it sits. it is a very nice program for 200 bucks when you compare it to others for the same money.

You will really like Drum Designer in Falcon. It's so much fun and it is good sounding. But Kick2 blows it away for actual sub bass. The PXSunbox is amazing, it's very much like the Jomox it is modeled after. Hypnotic Dive is very very slick.
Will they get Mayhem of Loops? That one is nice.

here is what will really happen. UVI will send r2r a nice big turkey for next thanksgiving. With all the money from all the new users to happily buy Falcon 3 and Falcon 3 expansions. and it will be all locked up again sooner, because r2r was kind and shared with the world. like it or not.

UVI will just add new/change things and stick a new version number on it. The little guy has to redo everything so he gets screwed. But at this point, aren't you just selling samples, some Lua scripting, and crossing your fingers someone else's proprietary protection holds? And UVI gets to look at iLok, who then be like "who, me?". that sucks. people continue to buy expansions long after the "host" software....

Heavy loading times? Not seeing that effect here at all, it's practically instant loading. I wonder why you are experiencing that.

 

but if he has to use that kind of thing inside Kontakt too, it's probably because the external hdd is not speedy enough.

if not, enable/disable streaming is all I can think of. tried that tho already?

Music Software is totally overpriced.

Most of this "fabulous cool software " is just selling the same old samples to the customer ( which is being used for years in other products ).

Update policy of the music industry is pulling out money for every fuuuuuuuuu update which fixes bugs.

Poor Developers ???????????? Steinberg was sold several times ( now in the hand of yamaha ) cause they where making millions and millions.

hey friends, maybe someone could explain me the part how to generate own r2ruvi files with ilok? 95% is giving me the error missing license, except a few randoms like ravenscroft275 for example. tried what the uviemu manual says, as far as i can, but no success till now.
i already got a ilok acc, but cant find falcon stuff anywhere? maybe someone got a hint for me?
