A worthy investment. There's a bunch of good videos lurking about (cough, cough) about programming it.

Reason Rack is also pretty usable
    [IMG]
controls of it can be assigned both instruments/effect macros directly from the plugin from it too

So this Shade EQ is the new bad-ass kid on the block, isn't it? Interesting

during my coffee break created a video about S1+FabFilters

so the macro-architecture of the "Multi-Instrument environment" is able to automate their own knobs while the "non-Multi-Instrument environment" ones just hide the automation of the individual plugin controls so mainly just gimmicks(the controls will have their own automation tracks), Fabfilter plugins have their own modulators so can be used perfectly with the macro architecture of S1 big +1

I would say PreSonus+FabFilters together has created a very likable DAW :mates:

This has come up several times in various posts. What do you use yours on? You mentioned transients so I'm guessing it's your drum bus compressor?

I remember everybody on reddit talking how much they liked Vital but I was already invested in other synths and thought it was overhyped because I remembered Helm and not liking it then assuming Vital was going to be like Helm so I only punished myself with that.

    I gelled with Vital instantly. I haven't [needed] to look up any tutorials because it's so easy to pick up but I did anyways >:}

I just started hearing about it as well. I will check it because UVI goes about their FX in a creative manner.

Slate vmr; sounds clean and warm if summing stuff. Did some a/b with hofa blind test and the vca compressor from vmr sounded better than api2500 from waves, also slighlty better if not in the same level as the vca on the lindell api channel strip. Eq, saturation is also pretty good.

    These are often in use:
    Instruments:
    Edirol Superquartet
    Edirol Orchestral
    Hypersonic 1
    (yes, guys, exactly #1)
After listing the above plugins I hear some laugh and see as rotten tomato are flying to my side...
    ok, gentlemen,
listen how listed plugins sound (along with another ones, of course):

    FX:
Maag EQ4 - to make all the highs shine
The Glue – to make the drums punch
Sonitus delay – often this small plugin replaces the famous reverbs
Sonitus Comp – it has some vintage presets that could solve some problems in tracks

Glad that you're enjoying Vital. It's fine synth and fairly easy to program once you've got the lowdown of the flow down.

About Fircomp2, its more on hand percussion tracks as I don't currently have a drumkit (or a drummer for that matter) at my disposal and could never really get on with banging away hits on a keyboard or dedicated drum machine like my Arturia SparkLE, so shakers, all matter of hand drums, rattles and other spiky bang bangs will see this comp on their back end to ease any residual harshness that I wish to lessen after judicious mic placement to lay it into a track to my taste. I also use it on vocals because I'm more into clean processing. As is the case with my percussion bits, I prefer in the capture of the vocal signal to be the flavor of what I'm going after. If I want warmth or grit I'll dial it in with the input gain of the Warm Tonebeast or Daking Pre One (not as much of course is possible with the Daking as it has but the single gain path). I'll use the Fircomp2 on acoustic guitars for the same reason. When I feel a need for electric guitars or bass being comptressed I don't feel a need to use it.

I find Vital to be quite a beast, especially for it being a free synth, but the resource usage is just terrible. I've compared it to Serum and Surge multiple times, its just not a light plugin at all.
