Who cares. Their samples sucks ass so hard that it's impossible to use on daily basis and the only reason they got rid of Kontakt is because they believe the reason people weren't bying their stuff more is piracy, not that they wouldn't buy it anyway.
I really acquired a special kind of hate towards Spitfire and these two salesmen:suicide:

I, for one, think it sounds awesome. Too bad I don't have any spare space on my drives for Spitifires huge libraries. Definitely something I might consider buying in the future though!

I may be out of the loop, but I don't really get it..

So they took a wall of 56 guitar amps, and used it to do a generic Drone/Ambient synth? :dunno:

And then just wrap it up in a unrelated/antiquated LOST vibe of a teaser.. :dunno:

Why not release a bunch of IR's of the whole situation,
instead of probably another library with a silly amount of Gigabytes?

I mean, you could run your own drone synths thru it,
add lotsa reverb and it will be almost the same thing..

Or actually just use a bunch of random Cab IRs, and any massive Reverb, even Free ones..

There's already a lot of Dystopian Drone synth and effects libs,
and nowadays almost every Epic Perc/Trailer oriented library brings some of its own..

so what's the need for this?

Why don't they do a clever and efficiently done library,
with only 3 prefectly placed mic pos, and without that shitty Vibrato for a change? :bleh:

(I have to take my hat off to BCCSO tho, it seems this time they made something worth..
if you can afford it/store it ofc..)

Well Clair Duduk is not that bad a of a library considering it's free,
it may serve to overlay some ambiental duduk lines and that's it..

But ofc Efimov's Duduk is a much much better/competent instrument..

EvolutionSeries has World Perc tho, that's a good library in spite of its age, very complete,
like a middle term alternative/addition to the usual Epic perc and World perc libraries..

Sound Like Instant Vibe to me..
    To all those haters:
    • Lots of Mojo available on one slider
    • If you think Kontakt is a Joke..:rofl:you're actually the punchline
    • Impossible to use on a daily basis. Yes Probably, when you don't know what you're doing.
    • Salesman Hate? barrel of laughs mate. Save your hate for those more deserving its a LiB FFS
    • I/R's well yeah I guess but hey, I'm sure there are nuances using so many amps which create vibe

I really hate any sample library that isn't dry. Stacking a sample with a hall response upon another is obviously a recipe for sonic disaster. A triad recorded with room does not equal the room response from those three notes being played independently. With the exception of VSL all of these libraries advertise the rooms they were recorded with as a selling point for those easily duped.

Charlie Clouser on VI Control :bow::bow: :

Just installed Aperture - The Stack and, no surprise, I'm quite impressed. Yes, it's a fairly narrowly-focused set of tones and textures, but the results have a very up-to-the-minute sound. If you like that gigantic, "live synths through speakers" type of sound that you hear on HZ's Dune or Blade Runner 2049, there's definitely stuff in The Stack that you'll love.

The way in which the distortion elements are voiced, and are part and parcel of the movement of speaker cones and air, as opposed to a layer of dirt applied to either the dry sound or the wet result, is not something easily achieved without actually moving some air. It's not just dirt, it's thrust.

That type of sound is very, very hard - if not impossible - to replicate entirely in the box. Yes, I have every hardware synth and plugin you could ever want, and it's always a struggle getting to that particular destination. Just throwing Zebra through some high-dollar reverbs gets you part of the way there, but not all the way to the finish line.

It's very much like the challenge of getting the perfect Bonham / Grohl / Green Day drum sound by endlessly fiddling with samples and tweaking hardware outboard. Getting 80% of the way there takes 20% of the effort, but getting that last 20% takes 80% of the effort, if that makes sense.

I often hear that sound character in movie scores and my ears prick up because it's something that's different, effective, and - most importantly - not commonly found in the terabytes of samples and 1,400 plugins on my system.

So if you favor that particular flavor, The Stack will make you quite happy.

I just finished a score full of little intricacies that were lost behind all the screaming and shouting of the actors, and found that there were a few blasts of synth-braaams that the producers loved, and which the music editor had scooped out of one cue and distributed here and there throughout the score (a pleasant surprise actually), and those blasts were created from an unholy stack of smaller elements, each with individual filter automation, multiple plugins, band-specific distortion, etc. that took waaayyy too long to program considering the run time they occupied.

A few choice blasts from The Stack would have done the job with one finger.

    It sounds absolutely bonkers massive.

    Well fookin done Spitfire!
