Prediction: Just as there are mini-consoles..

    Soon there's gonna be mini-Synths, mini-Comps, and mini-MixConsoles/Desks..
USB controlled with a VST plug inside, or just a Controller.. wait and see :guru:

(In fact SSL is already kinda doing that with their UC1 type controllers.. )

If they made a hardware wavetable synth that was able to import, export and store custom wavetables... I would lick a saw wavetable while it's still spinning and it would taste every bit of purple as you thought.

If they made it cost 500 hundred or least half of testicle then I would probably put many of my "to-buy" items to the side. USB import of wavetables, not any of that PS1 memory card garbage.

    which is a shame.

but they will offer a 16-voice version for 2200, then it is getting a bit more realistic.

Waldorf have been repackaging their old synths for 2 decades. Blofled was just the Q , this is just the blofeld again . They just keep repacking this fucking thing over and over

Has anyone made experience with Waldorf support team here? Will I did and I can tell you that this is not very customer friendly. Waldorf is a arrogant german company with the nose high in the air. I own a Microwave XT but I will never buy another product by them. dont wanna get to specific but I treat everyone friendly in first place, but this company is a no go.

Huh? Show me where the Q has all the wavetable capabilities of the Microwaves? And then show me where the Q can import your own samples into the oscillators. Ive got both right here along with a MWXT.. Sorry the Blofeld is a bit more than a "repackaged Q".

And no this is a Microwave, again not a repackaged anything but a reboot of the Microwave II.

Hardware hype strikes again. I'm very sure this doesn't even compare to Falcon, Prisma or the soon to be released Zebra 3. Hell, I wonder how this compares to SurgeXT! This simply rides the marketing hype wave of "hardware being better than software", which stems from "u cant get real analogue from software", which is pretty much bullshit (mind u this thing is DIGITAL, lol). It really goes to show how people will buy something like this and think, yeah, now I'm on my way to making that next BIG track that's gonna shake up the industry!
Sure I'll concede to the hardware feel aspect, but I have a basic synth Studiologic Sledge 2 (ironically having a Waldorf synth engine!), I don't really use it for its synth engine, I use it for its hands-on feel as a controller mostly. I have a ton of knobs and such and a great keybed. But for synth purposes, I'll stick to my digital software any and all day long. I can get way more than 8 voices (what a joke) and run multiple instances at the same time. Seriously.
