Recently, when I enter the Audioz website, Chrome tells me that this website is loaded with malware:

Google (among others) had an outage / other fuckery earlier today so their URL/malware detector had probably shat itself for some time.

Even when I log in and use Ublock, I'm still constantly getting popups and malware/dangerous site warnings.

What happened to AZ? It used to not be like that.

 

No problem here. I use Ublock, Duck Duck Go, and Ghostery.

 

No pop ups here unless I sign out. Anyways, I use Ublock origin, Kaspersky, HTTPS everywhere and Privacy Badger. You should too.

 

I caught Covid from a download.

 

Guys... to address the pop-ups, use noscript. Set the sister site's URL and cloudfare to trusted. The only pop-ups you'll get from then on are the site's logo every now and then.

As for the malware warnings, that's to be expected due to the nature of the site itself. The owner likely has no choice but to allow shady ads to pay the server host. I wouldn't really know, though. It's just a guess. It's either that or try to rely on the generous donations from its users, but that's a gamble because I really doubt any of us is making enough money as musicians or engineers to afford to donate even just $1 a month (I jest).

Jokes aside, I still think the site is safe to use with all proper precautions (that you should already be taking when downloading from any site, especially if it's pirated software), but there's always a risk involved.

what programs or software are ya'll using to scan your downloads from the sister site before installation?

 

Hi Olymoon. Thanks for your reply. I tried several times to register, but never received an E-Mail to confirm the registration process (also nothing in Spam).

 

Finally, make sure you don't use one of the following email providers, as they block emails from AudioZ: gmx, web.de, hotmail, outlook, msn, yahoo.

 

So that's the problem. If your not logged in you receive too much adds.

That's off topic, but I use ZoneAlarm free firewall and AntiVirus.

 

Exactly, these email provider automatically filter the confirmation email.

Same result here !! what do you expect from a dark web anyways? yeah this is a little part from it.

 

I got the red screen malware alert a few days ago. I've also been getting this strange thing fairly often where if I go to a Z link for one of the downloads and then try to back up to the main page, I get a small pop up top of the page asking me if I'm sure I want to leave the site. If you don't click on it you can't go anywhere unless you close out your browser entirely. Hate having to click on strange popups like that.
