    Yes my dude: FREE for something in return. Ain't nothing to it! In the world I live in, this marketing scheme is allowed; it's legal. it happens every nanosecond. No-fuss!

    "But that's not how business works, companies are not charities, they are trying to make a profit."
    Exactly, he's running a promo in hope of getting new subscribers in return; It's for conversion. I still don't understand the problem? Please enlight me as to what is different from this Slate offer from the hundreds of other very similar offers being offered right now by other companies/individuals? We can sign up or ignore (or as most here will do anyway, download from sister site).

    So bro, what else there is to it here that we have to make anything more complicated than it is. Slate Digital announced the packs on its website, its email, and social media. Not that they came knocking physically on ou door! The guy is not putting any pressure on you or anybody to download and give an email. You don't want to partake in the campaign where he may end up making some profit then fine, don't participate. It's your choice not to be BE THE PRODUCT! however, it doesn't mean that everybody has to make the same choice as you.

    We have too many samples to choose from anyway. We can all do without touching this pack at all, man!

    Peace!

    This is the point: it ain't free, this is business and we are the customers
    Now, when I enter into a business agreement I want to know exactly what the terms are and I want to read the agreement. If the contract is unclear, I get suspicious and want explanations. In the case of Slate, the contract does not say "free royalities" anywhere, in reality it says the opposite.
    As long as they don't clearly write "free royalities" on the contract, these samples are a bad deal for customers, I won't use them and I don't recommend anyone who does commercial productions use them, it's too dangerous.

    The policy is not even included in the pack (as it normally should be), I had to look for it on their website: isn't it sneaky?

    question,

    if you go to this link you can see all the 16 free packs listed there one by one but some say 100% royalty free and some do not say that
    https://slatedigital.com/free-sample-packs-bf21

    The first 10 say 100% royalty free on the picture of the item and sometmes in description too

    but the last 6 packs don't state anything (1 example below)

    my question to you is the following

    are the ones that DO say 100% Royalty free in the picture ok? Because u would have that wording as proof in case of any legal issue?

    @BEAT16
    He's not asking if they are free. He asking (and the previous 2 pages of this topic have revolved around the question of) whether they are they royalty-free?
