Hello,i have a BIG problem with an Ableton project. I'm on Live 9.1- Mac OSX
I can't open it correctly. It opens but the mouse changes in beach ball and it stays like that.
I can't even put my clips in the user library.
I reinstalled Ableton that works well well with others .als.

Please help! I can't loose this one

Can't you drop your clips into arrangement/session one by one from the browser?

I guess one bad VST could be the culprit.

 

Studio 1 creates a backup, does Ableton do the same?

 

Hi Gab live 9.1 is set to scans all folders so if got more 2mb of samples go and put the kettle on and leave it scanning and if you have not got much space let live does not like that as well .

 

I've had an instance of a project the crashed immediately after opening it. I sent an email to Ableton Support with details on the crash, they then requested the project file, somehow fixed it, and emailed me a working copy. They might be able to help. Note: I had a paid and registered copy of Live. Can't remember if support checks if you are a registered user.

 

I almost lost some weeks of work caused by a corrupt file error - thank god I had a backup copy (which only was some days old, so I could reconstruct my changes).

Since that accident I always backup my projects with the option to keep at least five older versions - so I can always go back a day if sth like that happens again.

 

Ok,thanks everyone. I'm gonna try to restore it with timemachine.
I don't think that Ableton will support without license.
Does somebody know an other way than timemachine for bachup my files?
