Upgrade from Live 10 to 11 (pirated)

    Hi Guys,

    Is it safe to upgrade from live 10 to 11. I've got a pirated version.

    Or is there a change I lose all my projects.

    Should I unintall 10 first or can I install over the current version?

    It's a separate installation so don't worry about it. Meaning you install a k'd version not using the updater from ableton

    you can have both installed.
    I have L11 uptodate, L10.1.41 and L11.1b6 installed.

    Only problem is that they cant use the same User Library.

    So what should I do, I want all my projects from live 10 to live 11.

    let live 10 alone, and install live 11 parallel. and then load your old projects into 11, and save them into a >>>NEW<<< location. if anything goes wrong, youve got still your old projects, with a fine live 10.

    Yes. Definitely DO NOT alter your projects into v11. Load and save them as new versions. It was discussed here previously.

    Thanks Guys. I'll install Live 11 separately, then open the projects without editing them and save them as a new file in a new location.

    well done, @Blikkie!
    as youre now able to fiddle with the new copies, are there any problems while working with live 11? eg any strange changes in sound?
