Yes, but you need to get a free PT First license then apply the R2R patches. Apologies if you know this already.
No worries guys, yes of course. For the moment it is better to stay with AudioUTOPiA HD in my opinion, waiting for some good news from the sister site.
Isnt it just like the VR Cubase Extended stuff though? Just workarounds and not a proper working DAW, of which there are loads of out there?
Apologies for causing forum mayhem Not a PT user or any desire to be, but I get why you guys are getting excited and I really hope you get what you need and a proper full working solution.
However I don't want to be misunderstood, for me this R2R release is stellar for a PT Ultimate user who can get all the wonderful support of iLOK R2R AAX, it's gorgeous.
Damn right it is! Welcome to our murky world of skull-duggery. Installing dodgy plugins is only the start, next it will be heavy drinking, group sex, sacrificing goats, naked rain-dancing. I may be going off-topic here… Last edited: Nov 1, 2021
I can't believe it either. I haven't been a member of this forum for too long to really know, but it seemed to me that the general consensus around Pro Tools has been that it was not possible to crack, so finding a release (and by R2R, no less) thrills me a lot, even if I'm not interested in Pro Tools itself. I think I'll download it just for the sake of it. It'll look very pretty in my backup drive. Who knows how long it'll be available for.
Respectfully, while Pro Tools appears to be a great accomplishment, by itself it would probably not warrant a special treatment with this 'gong' thing that they have going. My guess is, we'll see more retail installers or retail isos in the coming weeks or months to build a lot of anticipation, and then they release the cracks or emulators all at the same time and everyone goes nuts. The 'gong' is then the PACE and eLicenser CEOs banging their heads against the windshields of their lambos
If you follow the instructions correctly with First.... you get the below. The third batch of plugins also work.
And you get quite a bit more than the default number of tracks on the personal and all plugins you may have already installed as aax doing other installations, also show up. Just follow the instructions carefully. There is only one thing they do not state clearly. The file you run is the replacement, not the ProTools first. It has to be in the same folder. The contents of the AAX folder in 'Optional' go here(replace if asked) C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins Last edited by a moderator: Nov 2, 2021
I picked a random number and BOOM 157 audio tracks created ready for recording / usage and FAST. In seconds. If you did the Waves aax in a prior installation as well as vst - They also are available. R2R understated what is available as 'semipro - (immensely) - Not a lot is missing.
Yes, absolutely. It is certainly not the Pro Tools release. For the moment AudioUTOPiA is still the King, and no one has equaled him. We will see the next moves of R2R. For the moment still nothing.
