So I've put a saw wave

    and passed it through filter

Both Digital and Analog filter at 12db

and Digital and Analog filter at 24db

    sound totally the same!

am i doing something wrong? why are they different if they sound the same?

edit: Ok i figured out there's some small differences on the high frequencies when the filters are quite open

Hello @samsome, experiment with other waveforms. The Saw waveform is the most popular. The 12dB filter is the most widely used filter. It has a lot of mids and highs. The 24 dB filter is very dull and has less spectrum.
    • A low pass filter, LP for short, removes the higher frequencies from your sound. It “passes” the lower frequencies.
    • Similarly, a high pass filter, HP for short, removes the lower frequencies. It “passes” the higher frequencies.
    • Lastly, a band pass filter, BP for short, removes the higher AND lower frequencies. Thereby, it “passes” a band of frequencies.
