One possibility that comes to mind is that they promised the gong at black friday but they failed to finish the job so they had to release a half-done work... I'm running out ideas to explain the situation. "Just wait, the crack will come" is just an assumption everyone is making but it makes no sense to me. Anyway, we will see what R2R is up to! There is still few weeks until black friday
Knowing their rep, I’m sure the emulator/crack will come. With their rep they will not put a release like this and not have it complete. They know what they are doing and know when the time is right to release it. This isn’t the first where they put out a release and had to wait for the library or emulator. People just need to sit back, relax, take it easy.
the patch for the ''first'' version of protools has almost anything that a semi-pro or a ''normal'' audio personal might expect, it get the software to an hd level... we have to wait for the ultimate one
I'm trying it out as we speak, the splash says Ultimate on opening, I've been running a project I recorded in 12.5 and it's working flawlessly so far
If you are not a legit user it gives you iLok license error. Tested on multiple systems. So it's not a real Pro Tools release, only a legit Pro Tools user utility.
Ya know?....seems like a while back I made the comment in a PT 2020 request on the sister site, that I thought the key to cracking PT would be to make PT first act like ultimate, and here we are, making first act like ultimate........lol
Have you followed the instructions and gotten the PT First license working? That needs to happen before you apply the patches.
Importing audio does too from what I saw… I don’t know if that is a limitation of First or not, not used PT in years! I doubt they would release something that was as limited as that, would seem a key thing to bypass for R2R, but I guess it’s also a fundamental aspect to protect by the devs.
Yep, already had an ilok cloud account, installed PT First, logged in, closed pt first, then replaced the files, have it blocked with my firewall, works so far
