Can you translate that, what does the user get now?

 

They release a version that's older than the current release, tells me one of two things, they either have a crack for it, or they're trolling everyone on an epic scale....

 

If you are a legit user (First, Standard or Ultimate), you can use ISO Retail and AAX UNLOCK to use the modified AAX to legit version. The license depends on what type of user you are, and is specified by R2R itself.
If you are an AudioUTOPiA HD user you have to wait for R2R to release the proper version, like for example "Avid Pro Tools Ultimate R2R".

 

this is confusing, where did you get this information ? we of course didn't download any of the release because we are not using PT, is it on the NFO?

They did say the AAX Unlocker can be used for Pro Tools First which is a super limited version of PT that is already a Full Version on its own, the release just unlock the AAX wrapper or some shit so you can use the scene release AAX plugin, and run it offline.

The other one is just unmodified (older version) retail PT ISO that of course need a license.

EDIT: Are you saying, with the PT First License you can use the Full version, using the retail ISO provided but can only doing it offline with few limitation (HEAT etc.) ? but how to log in if offline ?

Daws released this year:
Studio one, Ableton, Reason, Protools, then follows Cubase for sure! according to that "a gong is waiting for something" ...for something bigger.
If it's not cubase, maybe some of those uncracked sampler systems will appear.

If they defeated PT, no reason they wont defeat Falcon, right ?

Do you think the full version WILL come? Given the way they have only released a partial version so far with the PT Free option and extended it / extended the legit version to run cracks? I’m not sure.

I honestly think it’s just that is as close as they could get possibly, and the retail release is so if it gets pulled from the Avid website people can still get a close version. Admittedly it’s not like them to not fully crack something.

Still, guess there will h a load of posts even if it is cracked fully saying how shit ProTools is.

 

but at the same time it makes no sense that they would stop there after going so far to decrypt and lighten the burden on the memory and bypass aax check etc.
why not just release the cracked version while at it tho??

 

I do agree, but as someone that suddenly goes all Neo when I manage to successfully edit a Hosts file, I wouldn’t know if that is the “easy part”, and the rest beyond that is then just so complex and / or time consuming. The fact you need a PT First account makes me think they figured how to fix the fact that PT sees a valid licence, but then they manage to unlock further features beyond that license level (like being able to save locally). Or they could just be teasing and have the full hit nailed. Time will tell.
